both are good to have. gold is for sure more known as valuable. some would say it is easier to pay with gold, but go to a store and try to pay in gold. the reaction will be the same as with bitcoin. sorry we do not take this. if you can buy at a good price, then do so o matter if gold or bitcoin. and having both does not hurt.

Gold is mainly used as a long term store of wealth solution by people. Especially in current times where the trust in banks is getting lower and lower. When it comes to short term investments, Bitcoin is definitely the better option.

Gold is perfectly scalable same as bitcoin.   We are all young people here relatively or we'd remember this to be true from previous use of gold in economies.  Certainly it can be true now and it was in the past that only a small amount of gold is needed to circulate value in a currency.

Modern versions of small use of gold would be done digitally, not just as in a cryptographic form like this but also through use of gold backed credit cards.   A gold card doesnt have to be figurative, literally you can link your balance used for food or clothes shopping to a gold settled currency account.   Every month they would deduct your monthly shop from your gold holdings, as its credit based you are literally holding nothing in your worth but gold.  

Old version of gold use would be with coins with a low gold content.  The modern gold coins are pure 24 carat but this is not practical as gold is soft but its quite possible to combine gold with copper for a much lower worth, its scalable in this way.

Bitcoin only has an advantage for 1 penny transactions.   It seems to be hitting a barrier on allowing tiny stuff like this into the blockchain ?

gold is the oldest and the strongest valuable stuff in earths history it was avalible from the beggning of the earth and this cause banks to first build and now the have concurred the whole world but bitcoin is not related by bank or nor it is connected by gold on any strong so i think bitcoin is sutable for everything at this highspeed generation no matter its long or short term use bitcoin is best choice for both

that is an interesting point. the people buying gold for safety reasons might have a hard time to trust bitcoin to not crash overnight and still prefer gold, even with better short term possibilities.

bitcoin is best choice for those who knows bitcoin but for those who did not know about bitcoin they wil stay to choose gold instead.. since it has a stable price and yearly interest. thats why we want bitcoin because we can earn it in signature campaign unlike in gold..

Ya not only have to wait for the long time but i think investment in gold requires much more bigger amount to recieve any decent amount of profit but with bitcoin chances of getting profit in much higher even for small investors.

We had proof last time when halving happened the price suddenly went down to 100$. But in gold, i think we will not face this type of situation. So for me, Gold is better.

Exactly, bitcoin was too fragile in 2013-2015, this year is more stable, especially after the block halving.

I admire both. I like to buy golds with bitcoin earnings. Though these prices fluctuate, though these two have same values, they differ in few scenarios. Gold is a physical coin and Bitcoin is a digital currency. Gold at times are stolen outside. Compared to gold, bitcoin is more safe though it is sometimes hacked from few users who have not yet set security in their systems as directed by the wallet sites.

only a phone and internet. that is not so easy sometimes. i also do not see the need to carry 100 bitcoins in my hot wallet on my phone. and if we are talking about a watch only wallet then it is the same as a picture of my gold. and btw you would be surprised about the value of gold. the gold bars most of us know from TV are worth around half a million US dollars.

I am having investments with gold and because you need a big capital for it, you cannot just start right after immediately. Unlike in bitcoin even though you are going to have few amount of capital with it. You can just start to invest with bitcoin no matter how much , big or small capital you have. So for me, gold is better but bitcoin is more usable and easy to use.

Yeah bitcoin increasing its price too much faster and other side gold is really too much stable and increasing its price too much slowly and maximum people want to get profit quickly because they bitcoin for high and fastest profit.

Gold is better if you want to have a secure investment. 
However, bitcoin is also good. You just need a large capital and try to invest in it. Hold them all and wait til the price go so high before you sell them.
