...

Keep this thread going, RealBitcoin, it is very useful to those of us who do not have time to dig around in the further reaches of Bitcoinistan.  I like your reviews and comments, as they help us to see the relevance of the various projects to each.

I hope to see a review or two re Bitsquare.  I quite agree, a decentralized exchange might be a great thing.

Of course, and if there are more projects that I havent heard about, please signal.

It's strange that nobody wants to discuss these projects here in this thread, while there is plenty to discuss about.

For example Openbazaar just released it's roadmap:

https://trello.com/b/dF6ymHGU/openbazaar-high-level-roadmap

There are tons of interesting stuff there coming in the next 1 year. It can grow even bigger than e-bay!

I think the lack of discussion (based on my own self) is because people aren't really familiar with these new projects. A little help like a short review from few users might will attract people to discuss about these projects.

People need to familiarize themselves with them because these will be the future of crypto.

I can already see massive money flowing inside these projects, and they can all pull billions more into bitcoin as well.

Bitcoin no doubt has a very bright future ahead!

The only one I'm excited about is the block halving it means that we will probably see a dump because people are expecting the price to rise. But after a few months it will start rising steadily but that only a theory. Tongue I will probably wait and watch on that day the bitcoin price to see if my prediction is true

Of course holders are going to dump when price reach just enough for them. Its always been the cycle they buy low sell high.
When it reach just about $600 they might just even sell to buy low again if it goes down. if not then that's just going to make them regret.

That's what I've been saying to multiple 'halving' threads. I see holders are too optimistic about the halving, thinking that the price would rise dramatically and go stable, when in fact most of them are willing to dump their coins when the price goes up. I'm just sad that only a few were able to understand me and the bad side of me is glad, that only a few were able to understand me.

Riding the waves is a good way to profit , but only because there are long term holders that dont sell.

If everyone would be a trader, then we would not have the price stability that we have currently.

The volatility is decreasing ,and traders will have less waves to ride on, so they will have to get better at what they do.

So I think a buy & hold strategy can be much better for bitcoin.

coinalytics.co used to have a nice little (free!) tool that allowed anyone to track a BTC address's outputs to other wallets.  It helped me to assess how good the standard mixing tools were.  IMO, it's too bad for us that coinalytics does not have their interesting tool available anymore.

I am no expert, but it looked like (at least back then) that thorough mixing helped a lot.  Of course there were and are other ways to track BTC activity...

For me, the best Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency projects are those that aren't reinventing the wheel or replacing the current state of things, but those that are seeking to improve the way some things are done in a centralized way, like identity and record keeping.

Yes i read about that, but i dont really understand it yet, can you explain it please how it works compared to the lightning network? Or reference articles that explain it.

Is it a plugin to the blockchain.info accounts or does it work standalone? More info please.

Hi, how about ipayyou? https://www.ipayyou.io/
Never tried them too since I'm quite loyal to blockchain, but i read this wallet allow a cancellation of a transaction as long as the transaction are not confirmed yet. I think it was like escrow-based wallet. That'll be a good project for newbie who are just learning about btc and their transaction.

Thats just a wallet provider. I`m talking here about projects that enhance bitcoin's features and expand their userbase.

For example the thunder network is another exciting one, however it's too new now so i`ll wait a bit to add it to the list.

I kinda want to see established projects, because there are many projects that failed here before even finished.

Removed ETH from the list. What can I say, i`m quite dissapointed with ETH, it's way too overvalued and pumped up irrationally.

Also it's way more centralized than it looks like, so I`m not sure if it's a good influence on bitcoin. Althought ETH havent stolen market cap from bitcoin, and ETH smart contracts might become useful, ETH the coin itself is what I`m skeptical about and it's development process.

I`d just rather list here projects that will be beneficial to bitcoin, rather than the coin.
