Yes, its the same coin.
TIPS or fedoracoin have 2 blockchain
- old blockchain which currently stuck and a dead chain. the old exchanger is bter but you cannot deposit and wd the coin
- fork blockchain in this thread that still active, the exchanger are novaexchange and coinexchange

So what happens to the coins in bter?
Is there anyway of reclaiming those coins in the new forked chain?

NO. There is no way to claim the coin from bter and wd to fork chain, but there is some possibility.

If bter willing to cooperate than any deposit that you spend to bter before block 1299878 can be withdraw to new fork chain. but its complicated if your already trade here and there.

Basicly, the blockchain split since block 1299878, which how many coin that in blockchain ledger before that block can be double, and spend separately. BUT SINCE the legacy blockchain is stuck and cannot move anymore than right now your can only spend the coin in the fork chain.

BUT....
if you previously have deposit to bter AFTER block 1299878, you can have your coin BACK in the fork chain, the same amount before your spend.

This is what happens with forking - you start to doubt yourself whether you are the real one or not. I hope BTC dont do the same mistake, come August.

Yes, because tips price is too low to match btc. Nova have many pair to trade with tips except btc
if you want trade with btc, go to coinexchange but right now have 41 btc in Q for 1 satoshi

dead coin (older tips blockchain) only trade in bter, you cannot deposit and withdraw it, i dont know why there still have people to buy if you cannot move the coin at all, even bter cannot move to another own wallet because of dead blockchain.

and NEVER send new fork tips to bter wallet, you will LOSE IT. Some people greed for the tips price there, but end of losing their coin.
