It is all depends on market value.
Every markets in the world has ups and downs. It happened in past and it will happen in future as well that a well stabilized markets sees a dip.
I agree that cryptocurrencies are highly volatile and its price fluctuates a lot. Sometimes even on a news which comes out and is related to it.

Ethereum is an excellent project. But recently there have been many publications about the fact that the tokens of the standard ERC-20 are vulnerable. This is very annoying. I would not want to invest in tokens based on the ethereum. They can be lost.

Ethereum is a replacement for Bitcoin. It learned from Bitcoin's mistakes and re-architected something better.
In terms of value store, Ethereum matches Bitcoin for security/ease-of-use/etc.
In terms of value transfer, Ethereum is: faster, cheaper, more reliable, more energy efficient.
In terms of value programability, Ethereum is years ahead.

Backed by major companies via EEA wanting to build dApps on the Ethereum Blockchain, Ethereum has the potential to be the biggest out there in a few years. Ethereum is continuously pushing the boundaries on their daily transactions and making some impressive moves in the crypto work, but the fact that the stupid cat game brought so much attention to Ethereum is mind numbing. Now just think about a dApp that provides a real world solution in the Ethereum Blockchain, this would bring the masses to appeal developers and giant corporations. Think of Ethereum as the App Store for dApps.

I think that Buterin is now considering the best options for further development of the project. Personally, my opinion, in the field of ICO and simple smart contracts there are no worthy competitors for the ethereum. ETH and ethereum virtual machine, the tech behind it, has good features that enable it to do more stuff than BTC. In the long haul, it will be an excellent crypto and the price reflects this expectation. However, atm it didn't deliver much of its potential, so I think that the price won't go further. The best way to you gain more knowledge about it is following the news, this forum, and twitter.

HBT just released their Striim ethereum scaling solution. Some massive work, as Jacobo puts it: "we started with 5 smart contracts two weeks ago, today we have over 40 due to all refactoring we had to do. We will write a set of blog posts documenting all the issues we have faced hoping the next people facing them, can benefit from it.The total lines of code are 7,200 while we have 18,700 lines of code for tests. Ratio of 2.6."

Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now..
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.
At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.
Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).
So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

thats the key, i will only trust in bitcoin, i mean that every trade i made, i made it to get more bitcoins, in the end, is just to get more bitcoins, so to reply you about the main question, is to yes, go into eth if there is a good Price , not like now atm that i'm writing this, since i really think is overvalued now. Ethereum with its ever-increasing development will be great by having it. with the growing Etherum development making Ethereum the best coin of Altcoin. so it's pretty good with having Ethereum in the future. so very nice to have it. |

Ethereum does have a bright future, there are a lot of people today who invest on ethereum coins because it was cheaper and still profitable so eth coins does have the great chance to surpass or become the next bitcoin in the future. |
