Ethereum: Good alt or stay away?

Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now.. 
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.

Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).

So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

I hope you decide to buy it at that time, because now it may have grown tens of times or more. But every time it will have its own problems, and that is fairness in crypto. But maybe Ethereum will always be eligible to enter the portfolio, because it seems that whatever strategy we will do, Ethereum will always be in the plan.

Ethereum was the best alternative cryptocurrency for me for so long and now I am really dissapointed about its position on the market. I think it will be better to start to go away from it.

I guess that Ethereum is the best project. It will be developing further, and the coin will be gaining. I do not know if there is any ETH limit in the price but this year it can reach 2 or 2.5 thousand.

ETH is a decent altcoin for me, it is based from bitcoin and we truly can see it's capability obviously ETH is only an advancement so I don't imagine that it can pass the real one yet numerous individuals are stating that it can pass bitcoin so it truly is a decent alt yet I read an article a week ago that there are some episode in ETH that right around 3 million got hacked or burglarized yet I don't believe it's motivation to remain away with ETH as I say we can truly observe it's potential so i'm certain that later on it will be a greatly improved coin.

despite the security problems they have and the lack of certain add-ons they have promised and failed to achieve I think that Ethereum is the real deal. Backed by major companies via EEA wanting to build dApps on the Ethereum Blockchain, Ethereum has the potential to be the biggest out there in a few years. eth is a really good coin to have in your portfolio at the moment. but would recommend researching what you are going to invest in and not peoples advice on a forum, because people here are investors too and can be very biased. just for an example, I have no btc cause I think it is going to crash and it has gained over 10,000 dollars from the time i made that decision. and now i know that if btc does crash all other alts drop also.

Why would you stay away from ethereum , it is a very good kind of altcoin, I have tried to use this and it is multiple use kind of coin, when you trade your reward token from bounty participation you will need a gas which is needed to trade tokens, and when you buy tokens in the trading sites you will also need ethereum, so this is how ethereum is so good.

And until now we still have the same question, whether with marketcap as big as this Ethereum will still grow bigger in the future.
But I think crypto is strongly influenced by Ethereum, at least for now. And if we want to be in the safest place, maybe Ethereum is the altcoin that is most worth considering.

It can be a good alt or bad alt but this depend on how you will see it the ethereum is good alt but keep in mind that invest only that you can easily lose and also easily gain so in this way you would  know what is the best one

Etheruem is a very promising coin and has a potential to success in the future even the price of etheruem now is very cheap i prefer to hold it and for the price to recover again

Now the cost of Ethereum is quite low, and if you want to invest now is the time to do so .

No doubt that Etherium is a good altcoin, but i do not think that it is so easy that it will replace bitcoin, bitcoin is still the most popular and strong currency. I cann't even imagine why you should stay away from Ethereum. It's biggest coin after Bitcoin and will remain as such in the nearest future. ETH could be great long-term investment.
