I think bitcoin will not disappear unless bitcoin is banned on your country or It is illegal to use it your country. No one will use bitcoin if it is banned or illegal on your country unless your are a hard headed and you will get into jail

The only thing that would make bitcoin disappear now is when it will be banned by the government, it is not by country to country as normally when one country ban bitcoin it will be ban by other countries as well especially those who have allied, and by declaring it as illegal when using bitcoin, it wll lose the trust and confidence of the people.

Firstly mostly it won't disappear so easily from the market. But any product not only bitcoins get a very bad news then everyone wants to sell bitcoins and buyers will be very less or sometimes no one wants to buy them until issue settle down. So don't think you will have a lot of time to cash out because you may get very less price compared to your invested amount.

You're right with pointing out that the form of money is also subject to some kind of evolution. However some forms of money (notably precious metals) have proven to be quite stable in their use as a store of value. Even though, gold is not used for direct payment anymore it continues to be a quite reliable store of value.

It's true that Bitcoin is a monetary revolution and has some significant advantages over precious metals. But I doubt it will entirely replace gold as a store of value anytime soon, because Bitcoin bears some different risks that gold is not exposed to: Political influence on software development and associated security risks. On the other hand, gold might become worthless if new resources become available at low costs (think of asteroid mining).

So in my view it's a good decision to diversify and hold both Bitcoin and precious metals.

That is certainly true. But I think the bitcoin will not to do so, because the bitcoin lacks an other currency in duplicate. You can see that all exchangers bitcoin is not the same person or company so if bitcoin scam then automatically they will not benefit because all the existing funds does not take over their own (coordination)

I personally don't see it as a bad thing as a lower price opens the doors for people that were waiting for a good moment to enter the market.

Very well said, that was my logic also bitcoin cannot stay forever as it is only created in the network and we do not know how long the network will be stable, bitcoin is good only if you are risking the amount you can afford to lose as it considered a high risk investment, riskier than gold  and other precious metals.

It really does not give any sense that the people of bitcoin which are millions will suddenly stop using bitcoin or being involved with  bitcoin and if that does not happen it is not possible for bitcoin to disappear just like that.

It's not a scam, but let's pretend it was started as being that. Then it's probably the best ever scam that turns something that was bad initially, in something great that is giving us the financial freedom we all are looking for. And no, in order for Bitcoin to completely vanish, all miners and nodes must be stopped. Or else all the power/internet in the world. As long as that doesn't happen, Bitcoin will continue to take over.
