Is there anything we should tell Polo in order to get our share of the airdrops?
Nothing : it's before the snapshot to ask to Polo, not after.

FYI, Polo was listed as participating on Stellar's airdrop page. Then AFTER the airdrop they claimed they never agreed to participate. Some of us spent an awful lot of time and lost out on hundreds of dollars worth from loans and in fees moving funds and so on, to get our BTC to Polo for the airdrop.

ZenFr, be sure to raise a support ticket with Polo and keep pushing the issue so they can't just wish it away. Even if Stellar is basically at fault Polo did us a disservice by ignoring the fact that they were very publicly listed for months on the Stellar page and didn't bother challenging it until after everything sent their money in to them.

I've suggested on Reddit that Polo should create an API setting that allows a 3rd party you share an API key with to see your account holdings over time (but no other information/rights). That way Stellar could directly send STR to those of us with claims, and in the future any other airdrops could use this API without needing to bother Polo staff with support requests for their airdrops. So I'm hopeful they will see the value in that idea.

How comes Stellar was listing Polo as an exchange that would claim the airdrop? Didn't they check with Polo to be sure they agree? Or perhaps Polo is claiming the lumens for our bitcoins and keeping them all for themselves?

Why would you deposit to Polo for something you can claim on your own? By now it should be a default-setting to trust exchanges with as little as possible to use their services.

The point is now to trust polo or not, the point is to trust Stellar which listed Polo as a trustful exchange for the airdrop.

Maybe I think Polo will collect large amount Lumen because they have a large amount of bitcoin with them. I don't why Dev should think about it because they need to exclude the exchange, they need to issue to wallets who are holding bitcoins.

Got decent XLM for my 45BTC.dumped them for BTCGrin.Didn't believed holding bitcoin will be so profitable.any other alternative giveaway for bitcoin holders?
lol
Byteball has a reward for people that are holding Bitcoin. For every whole Bitcoin that the person has in a wallet, they give out a nice amount of Byteball for it. Stellar is also helping the people that are in Bitcoin because the more that people hold the coin the higher the price of Bitcoin will go.
I think that they are ending in a couple of days so the price should hold till then.

That's a very good article, gotta try the methods described in this article!

Also, was there a response from Stellar team regarding Polo mistake? I saw some tweets. I'm sure a lot of people from polo got disappointed with failed airdrop...

received xlm after signing a message with btc wallet.

sent xlm to bittrex, never arrived.

support ticket ignored.

Did you used memo taged before sending to bittrex. You need to copy memo from bittrex and post that in xlm wallet. So bittrex will recognize it was you who sent XLM.

i did not.

i only noticed it after the fact - it was stated as 'optional'

are the txid and addresses irrelevant? or is this at exchanges discretion?

bittrex finally after a week, kindly manually credited my account with a warning.

remember to add the memo/note/full details when depositing or risk losing coins.

seems it is discretionary.

be careful, im thankful.

dumped for btc to take part in byteball drop on 9th.

after that ill either buy back xlm or UNO.

either way, winning

It's not abandoned. Probably most discussion is going on stellar forums. Stellar was pumped really hard and now returns to normal price values... 1k sato is realistic...

I really would like a comment by the Stellar team about their mistake in listing Polo as an entity which would distribute lumens to their BTC holders. I have left some BTCs on Polo because of that and got no lumens.

Me too I want to hear an official statement from them. Still the main blame is on poloniex for their very late reaction which sounds very disrespectful and no concern on their clients.
