Hi,

Sorry, my question is a bit newbish.

I need a stellar wallet, but for what I can see, it seems to be necessary to send 20 xlm to activate it.

Is there any other way ? By other, I mean free ?
It's not that much, but I'm just confused, I'm used to MEW.

Thanks,
Happy new year

For what it do have to be free? :-)

just look. if you want to store anyway, just send Money to it. 21xlm then you are safe that your adress is correct - it activates the account - and you are safe that the Exchange you are trading in is paying out ;-)

and then send how much you want to it.

Anybody have estimates how well this platform handles scalability? How many transactions Stellar network can handle per seconds?

In the short term, I've heard numbers around 500-1000 tps. Although it sounds like in the longer term there are ways to tweak the network into the 1500 tps area.

So it looks like the plan is to distribute most XLM via aidrops - I see there was one a while ago, are there any plans for any more soon?

I can't visit Facebook ATM, but the Stellar airdrop(s) are old news. The last one was in mid-2017. Sorry.

Yes, I fully agree with you, he has more potential than ripples. I bought a month ago and buy when I get free money. Cryptocurrency market, growing and XLM, can easily grow 5-10 times.

I dont get why people would buy Ripple over Stellar, The actual action of buying and owning a ripple token essentially means nothing the Ripple coin/token services no purpose. Ripple is not even a cryptocurrency, it has no real blockchain! It's completely centralized and barely anyone has even seen the source code. I agree this is still undervalued and could make some big moves

It's a no brainer.

My understanding is that IBM is getting ready to deploy 60percent of cross border South Pacific payments using stellar. Take a look and verify it yourself.

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria
Bank Danamon Indonesia
Bank Mandiri
Bank Negara Indonesia
Bank Permata
Bank Rakyat Indonesia
Kasikornbank Thailand
Mizuho Financial Group
National Australia Bank
Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) Philippines
Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group
TD Bank
Wizdraw (HK) of WorldCom Finance

That should put Stellar at number 4 behind Eurethem and ahead of Bitcoin cash at a market cap more or less in the 60 to 70 billion range. That puts Stellar at 5 times its current price.

If no more airdrops, how do they intend to distribute remaining XLM?

They just buying Ripple because it is too much ads about and it's over pumped. Ripple even not have their own wallet to keep money. My friend lost his money at  wallet that was recomended by Ripple when hi hold them. Stellar much much better at all!

13.49 billion market cap vs 13.66 litecoin's ......

This is just amazing and is my most profitable crpyto in the short 3 months I have been into this.  I thought IOTA was going to be in this position on my portfolio but boy was I wrong.  I went fairly heavy when I heard about IBM.  I bought in at .10 average with a good amount of BTC.... up 950% so far....   Shocked   Cool
