It seems that Bitcoin and the entire market are turning upwards, giving us a small end-of-year rally. Stellar at the moment has lagged behind other Coins, perhaps because he had lost less in the previous collapse; so I think that now it is ready to accelerate and maybe give us a big rise in the upper part of its medium-term channel, around 4000 / 4500sat.

That is valid point it is not recovering so fast like other but this is the dark horse and this could gain more fast than anybody's expectation. Never take this underestimate it is good choice to keep buying this coin on current price.

Like most here I also believe that Stellar will do well in the long term and that is why I am accumulating as much Stellar as I can each week or every second week when I have some spare BTC to use. In the past month I have been using staking coins to help build my Stellar stack as when I stake these PoS coins, I sell some of the stakes to buy Stellar and a couple other cryptocurrencies. Hopefully 2019 will be a better year for the crypto market and more so for Stellar which is undervalued right now with what this project has to offer.

I can not disagree with you, @vella85.
Stellar started years ago, and grown well over years.
In reality, the Stellar project has surpassed so many milestones of the project itself and of the crypto world in general.
The current year is obviously a bearish one, next year will not, or at least altcoins will not fall much deeper because bottoms have nearly found.

XLM is more stable compared to other cryptocurrencies, in term of scalability. No doubt, this project is fast compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum.
But until now, I have yet to see any improvement in their technology. Lately, I heard good news from Waves community that Waves could do more than 1000 trx with blockbuster.
if it is true, what makes XLM so good compared to other projects? until now, people are shilling it because of its blockchain transaction speed.
so I am starting to doubt that it is a long-term investment.

This is not much... May be this is enough for now, but if ICO will be popular again and people starts run them on Stellar than there is will be a problem with overload too ...

That was why I said if nothing changes with XLM in the future. Something else might take its place, look at Waves for example.
I heard they could make more 1.000 transactions per second, even some of their supporters claimed that they could make 100.000 transactions per second using blockbuster.
more importantly, they have their own smart contract which is very possible for a new startup to create their own token based on Waves.

As far as I see, this project will be hot in the coming year. 2019 is very important for them as many features are released and hopefully they will have a fully working product.

Large supplies concept has been irrelevant back in 2017 when we saw tokens with large supplies ruling the market. This is the very reason that many people active in this space lost the train, thinking that coins with large supplies can't get high price and when they reached there everyone was saying this isn't sustainable. Nobody will care for this type of FUD there is big money involve in this coin and whales are very smart they know better how to make profit. First of all XRP have to lose its grip on the market than XLM will follow otherwise both will remain in top coins.
