Spotlight Post

!!!Where to next!!!

As there has been no input from the community whatsoever for plans to take ARG forward, here are a few ideas.

Community Stuff:
  • Dedicated IRC Channel on Freenode (Done)
  • Dedicated Forum Site.
  • New Website

Enhancements:
  • Add Dual Algorithm Capability with SHA256.
  • Bring in Merged mining on both Algorithm's to stabilize and secure the Blockchain.
  • Fix reward to around 3 per block
  • increase blocktime to 45 sec
  • New Logo

These enhancements are very dependant on community support so please contribute to the Argentum BTC Donation address address.

Lets start some discussion please either on IRC #ARGCurrency, or the Forum at DigitalCoin https://forum.digitalcoin.co/forums/75-Argentum?s=859ffcfe9cc5283ee4c7d19e677e25af

I'll vouch for those changes. I like the idea of a consistent block reward. I'm undecided about the blocktime change, but I'm leaning towards the opinion of 30 second blocks being unnecessary.

I haven't had a payout in a while. I noticed you bumped it to 250, is there a way to see how much I have left until I reach 250?

Seems to be consistent at about 500sat over at cryptopia. Blockchain is moving consistently as well. Good job Cryptcollector, and thanks!

Thank you!

Though you've done your part with getting Us onto Cryptopia as well.

To a bright Silvery Future for ARG :-)

Brining down arg.transacx.io now that iSpace has got us on their site.

arg.transacs was try-out of the Coniumserv pool platform, unfortunately there is a bug in the reporting of HASH rates for miners on there, though it did work and pay out correctly it has not seen much use.

So with that arg.transacx.io will be removed from the pool lists.

I really love the user interface on that site. It's a shame it's buggy.

U had to get your last payment right? Coz 250 ARG needs 11 blocks (10 for 250ARG, extra 1 for fees coz they are too high :-O ), which is very easy to achive.

My last payout was 74ARG on May 24th. Not sure if I've mined 250 since then, but when I noticed the payout was higher I started mining again but never received a payout. I'll give it another shot and see what happens.

The only working Pool is BitcoinPool.US now for ARG. All other pools are sick.
Also i've made a miscalculation, sorry... the average block reward is 2ARG, but diff is really low, that's why it's very easy to get your payment. I've made a test and server makes payments perfectly. We are using uNOMP core and uNOMP does not make pool owner payments over pool balance, that's why all pool wallet coins are belongs to miners and it's complately automatic. A manipulation of wallet will stop both payments and it means i have to set everything from the beginning (which is a stupid move).

That's why you will get your payment.  Wink

It seems like there's a problem. I've been mining almost 12 hours with no payout, combined with whatever I mined about a week ago.

Would you kindly create an another wallet address and use it as your username?
Found the problem on database... it's really weird that your wallet address looks like with negative balance. :-O
I'm going to send whole wallet amount to your wallet now and reset the database for all account payments. It will solve the problem.

I believe you are the one who is mining now.

EDIT : No need to change your address. It's fixed now totaly.

The above statement is a completely FALSE

iSpace.co.uk is currently listing us and running well, as is my own Pool alt40.transacx.io which has been running consistently since the revival of ARG and is the first pool to become active again.

Please refrain from posting falsehoods.

If you persist I will remove your pool from the listings.

Are you joking? I was not lying... mining ARG is profitable and i was dealing with DDOS attacks for my pool whole day. That's why i moved my hashpower to other pools while my server was offline and "miningrigrentals" said that pools are sick. There are also 2 more pools you can find with google and they look like they are working but they are not.

Please try to send hashpower more than 150MH and see the results...
I've written it for everyone's good, not for lying...

I'm so sorry what happened before. This system has a different DB, but i figured out completely. You won't face with this problem again. Also it's easier to control payments for me now; that's why minimum payment dropped to 100 ARG. With this hashrate; i believe you can get payment every 2 hours Smiley

Good luck mate, have profit!  Wink

First port is varDiff thats why it is changing.
Block count should not be wrong, but for total count; it can. Had major issues  before and fixed. I did not want to touch past data.

Also there is an active miner, you should connect.
