My plan is to add 4 new mining algorithms. 2 GPU (Lyra2RE2 and Groestl), and 2 CPU (yesscrypt and Argon2d)

These algo's will not be AUXPOW, only sha256 and scrypt will stay AUXPOW for now. I should be able to get the new version out in time and combine with the fork at block 2977000.
It is multi-algorithmed coin. Sounds strange and promising. Which exchanges are available for Argentum currently, dev?

How about checking the opening post of this thread for this information?

ARG is also listed on novaexchange.com

Would be great to be added to Ledger imo. I sent a support ticket to see what it takes.

I have a very exciting announcement,

Argentum is now listed on LocalBitcoinCash.org

Here is the email I received

Quote
Hello Argentum Team!

We're excited to have completed the integration of your cryptocurrency into our platform. Not only can users deposit/withdraw/exchange them on our platform, we're currently updating our payment gateway widget so that any merchants using our payment gateway has the option to use your cryptocurrency as a payment option! We're also excited to say that we're investing lots of time and resources into adding other services to increase the demand/utility/value of supported cryptocurrencies on our platform this year. We can't reveal what they are until it's ready to go live on our platform but rest assured this will be all good news for your project!

https://localbitcoincash.org/index.asp?action=showCryptocurrencyExchangeFrame (And also available on the homepage)

https://localbitcoincash.org/index.asp?action=showSupportedCryptocurrenciesFrame

https://localbitcoincash.org/index.asp?action=showSendMoneyFrame (An example of how the payment gateway widget looks like.)

Also, please feel free to link to us so that your users know they can easily exchange into other cryptocurrencies without having to understand how traditional exchanges work. Our logo url is at https://localbitcoincash.org/images/logoLocalBitcoinCash.jpg

Thanks and we look forward to a great year ahead!

I would like to re-emphasize the most exciting part

"Not only can users deposit/withdraw/exchange them on our platform, we're currently updating our payment gateway widget so that any merchants using our payment gateway has the option to use your cryptocurrency as a payment option!"

Soon merchants will be able to accept Argentum for payment. As far as I know, this is a FIRST for Argentum, and great news for Argentum supporters.

Also, don't forget to upgrade to 4.14.3

Version 4.14.4 is out now. It's a minor release that speeds up initial blockchain download. Even if you are on 4.14.3 please consider upgrading. If you are not on v4.x.x, you MUST upgrade.

Protonn this is great stuff your doing.

I have updated the main ANN post as requested and want to at least contribute a little ARG for use as bounties.

I am willing to put up 2000 ARG into this pot.
Now this might not seem a lot, but considering the rewards on ARG are 3 coins per block this amount in relation is a reasonable amount.

I would like some suggestions for these bounties and probable amount to be put to each bounty out of that 2000 ARG.

The first suggestion is from Protonn himself:
An HQ logo and a vector graphic logo. (guessing a bounty of 100 Arg for this)

Another suggestion would be from myself:
Revamp our initial post to make it stand out more. (not sure what to put on this possibly 100 to 200 ARG?)

Contribute Ideas please, and submit them here or discuss in Slack.
I will put these bounties into the Spotlite Post just below the main ANN post when we have a finalised list..

Regards
Crypt

I have been following this coin for a long time and I like the direction of this coin. It is bit rate, regular updates, the code is constantly updated. I think that this coin has a great future.

You will be on an incompatible/dead blockchain and will not be able to send/receive coins until you upgrade. You should just be able to install https://github.com/argentumproject/argentum/releases/download/v4.14.4/argentum-4.14.4-win64-setup-unsigned.exe assuming you used the setup.exe previously.

Roughly 7 days and you MUST be on version 4.14.3+ (protocol 1090000)

The 2 big Scrypt miners (that I know of) are currently in the process of updating. All sha256 miners (that I know of) have upgraded. Still waiting on Cryptopia, they are flooded with tickets at the moment.
