If you change the algo, you risk killing the coin. I have seen it happen to more coins I can count on my fingers and toes.

There are a few coins that survive by changing the algo, but I only know a small handful of them.

Now is actually a good time to buy some coins. The exchanges make sure that everyone gets a small piece of the pie, particularly those who did not get in the first giveaway.

Miners will mine.
Traders will trade.
Dumpers will dump.
Holders will hold.

Nothing you can do will change that.

We understand this, However i do not see this project dying so easily. (I do not wish to test this theory)
This is why we will let the Community decide.

In theory this algo will be compliant all the tests we have done verify this however we have not compiled it into an actual test chain yet.

If you do have the backing of this community and go with them, of course the project will succeed where others have failed. I don't mind if a lot of miners say or vote to change the algo.

I will mine for as long as it's "profitable" to CPU mine. Because I can't currently invest in a GPU rig, although I have been able to set up a few before. They also run very hot and noisy, and consume a lot of electricity.

I can't yet to decide my opinion about algo.
But if that gpu miner is real, maybe it hits right on time considering price. Since esp comes harder to mine maybe those walls disappear since people realize that it's more valuable and let esp raise in price. But there is down size too,  some people still hold shit load of esp and that scares future investors. Still trying to make up my mind..

Cpu only is good , if GPUs comes in , cpu miner will leave or switch , but GPUs will also produce more espresso faster , driver price down , we are no ready for gpu yet, resist the gpu I say

We do not appreciate trying to hold a ransom for something that we did not even want to begin with.
This Project is about fairness and the community. Not paying 100$ for a miner that would make the point of the Project meaningless.

Edit: Seeing as how it would be extraordinarily unfair if only you have a GPU miner the Team will begin compiling a GPU miner for HMQ1725 That will be optimized for the community. Until we find another way to prevent GPU mining for good.

I was following Magi religiously when they first started, but after a short amount of time this same situation occurred, now there are GPU's raping the mining pools :/ I'm not sure if they took any steps to circumvent that, but GPUs kicked a huge amount of people off the pools

Check the original source code if it is GPL, even if you fork it, you must release the source code.
