We cannot do anything to prevent fraudulent trades nor can we do anything to prove they were fraudulent without extensive research. we also cannot Freeze accounts as this is a decentralized Client based system. We have no access to anyone's funds.

I highly recommend you use a renowned escrow service. there are a few people in the community who will do it for free. or you may contact anybody who is apart of CryptoCoderz and request and escrow. I personally will always facilitate large transactions.

Sorry for your loss please be warned to take necessary precautions in the future.

We have been on Bitsquares for a while. Bitsquares is BTC trading only. to get ESP on it you have to go to settings, add cryptocurrency. this will allow you to trade any amount of BTC for any amount of ESP using a decentralized open source exchange. I personally am a huge fan of Manfred Karrer and his work with Bitsquares.

I am sorry for your loss of ESP however there is nothing we can do. we have said many times to use an Escrow service and to never trust anyone without a lot of reputation. We have offered free escrow. we cannot punish anyone, both because we do not have proof nor a way to do so. there is nothing we can do due to this being decentralized.

For all future trades use an Escrow service or an exchange. the internet is home to many people who dont care about others. there will always be those who want to cheat, scam, and con. All we can do is make it more difficult be spreading awareness.

Hi Dev,

I have downloaded and installed the Espers wallet and this is my experience.

The installed files does not really belong in data/Roaming, only the user specific data (blockchain, wallet.dat etc) should be there.
(See http://www.rapidee.com/en/environment-variables for suitable ENV-vars)

The launcher does not work for me (Windows 7 Enterprise) and I had to dig around to find the actual Qt-wallet, (yea, I found them in data/roaming).

I also tried the sgminer but it failed, that is probably due to dependencies for different graphics cards. In my case Intel HD4000 just as a FYI

The cpuminer from suprnova works like a charm, and I'm currently bashing out between 25-45KH/s (Yay!)

I just wanted to share my experience , so dont take this as criticism
