Hi community IOTA, if you thave time or you are not buy please check this!! : http://forum.iotatoken.com/t/foundation-announcement-and-update/492http://forum.iotatoken.com/t/iota-foundation-big-deal-and-exchange-update/469/1"Lovely news from @David Today marks the first month of IOTA's network running successfully, with 100K+ transactions, millions of dollars transacted ( OTC numbers ) and now peer discovery up and running I am very happy to say that we're en route to realizing our vision There'll be a huge update coming soon that will start to unveil things that has been in the works stretching back all the way to fall 2015, as well as 100x more that has been ongoing behind the scenes this spring As a community member there are primarily 2 things you can do to boost IOTA even more right away: 1. Brainstorm ideas, put up bounties, hire devs to make proof of concepts on top of IOTA. 2. Fund the 'Big Deal' initiative. Unfortunately, like you all know, I can't reveal details, because I refuse to pollute IOTA's brand and ecosystem with unwarranted speculation and hype, but I can assure you all that it is indeed a 'Big Deal' for IOTA to get this through. It will open a lot of doors and bring a ton of liquidity to IOTA right away While a full roadmap of the Foundation will be released shortly, I can reveal that our primary focus will be C and Rust clients, which will make the IOTA experience several fold more efficient and seamless, libraries and development tools to make it as easy and enjoyable for devs to implement IOTA" Link--> Last version IOTA : https://github.com/iotaledger/wallet/releases --> Documentation "How install IOTA" : https://iota.readme.io/docs/whitepaper

I want to give 400 GIOTA but could not access to my IOTA last time I have tried, so I will try again this evening.
If I understand the IOTA will be sold for bitcoin in order to complete the big deal, so I guess the BTC gathered will be used for the fundation right?

yes, but even if iotas are sold and not given to big players, it's certainly not at current prices: the deal has been initiated when the price was of the order of ICO price.

I am still wanting to give IOTA as I trust the IOTA team but giving IOTA at ICO price is really like a giveaway and not a deal...It is like there was a big deal for bitcoin and people would sell bitcoin for 20$ each, of course anybody would be interested to get bitcoin at 20$... Anyway I hope they really trust the partnership with the "big deal".

The 'deal' is to get them to have the largest incentive possible to work to ensure IOTA's adoption. People really need to get their heads out of the parochial view of thinking of everything as "how much profit can I get from these tokens". 'Big Deal' is equivalent to getting new developers/engineers on board a project, of course you have to compensate them, employees rarely work for free for companies, that's why start-ups give out equity, so that the employees have a direct incentive in making the start-up succeed and thus their equity be valuable.

If you read carefully my post, I am not thinking about "how much profit can I get from these tokens" as I am ready to give the reward to the fundation anyway. If the persons / company is involving and work for IOTA then I am ok with that. Anyway as I said, I wish to give because I trust IOTA team.

Would it be possible to get a "Donate to the Big Deal" button coded into a new version of the GUI? I think this would help raise awareness and motivate people to donate.

I definitely see the appeal of doing that, as it makes everything way more straight forward, but the thing is that this is a community decision, so the software has to remain neutral on it...

If many of us think it's a good idea to add the button, isn't that a community decision? After all, it's up to the user to press it or not.
