Grooveshark, now there's an idea. I never quite understood how they get away with giving away streaming music, but in any case they might have a rebellious enough culture to be interested in it.

I think it would be cool to get the Catholic Church!

The outgoing Pope sent out the first papal Tweet; maybe the new Pope will receive the first Vatican bitcoin?!

Maybe Amazon Coins?

I can't imagine that Amazon would name their coins Amazon Coins without being fully aware that these are going to be seen as similar in people's minds.  Whether they're exploiting Bitcoin or non-committally lending their name to validate Bitcoin just by using the word "coins", I don't care, because there will be a two-way synergy that benefits both.

If Bitcoin is already on their mind, I can't see why they would be opposed to letting people buy Kindle apps and e-books with it (e-books which, of course, can be read on other things than just Kindle).

Donating to Wikipedia is one thing, but not everybody cares about donating to Wikipedia.  Being able to buy books has FAR more reaching appeal!

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

I am still wondering when JAK Bank will accept Bitcoin.  Huh They've known about it since 2011!

Seems that of all the banks the interest-free ones would be perfect for Bitcoin.

Oh trust me they don't need bitcoin. Italy gives them over a billion of euro each year, plus tons of benefits etcetcetc.

In the grand scheme, no one really needs bitcoin, but it would be cool to get the Holy Father's blessing or even condemnation of it...
The euro is likely to crash, and Italy is unlikely to have the ability to shower the Vatican with cash and benefits much longer...
I am sure the pope's bean counters know this. So, it would be interesting to hear the Vatican's view on Bitcoin.

Maybe if all the Catholics on this forum tweeted the hell out of them about it...

Like that would be a problem, ever... Still plenty of other places where to get their funding from.

DealExtreme should be great !

http://dx.com/

Huge market of small transaction

Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone.
it has lots of buttery taste..
