You should probably check out the BFL forums.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Shipping will happen sometime within the next week. I give them to the end of the month to be safe.

Surely you jest good sir, this is none other than BFL we're talking about. The end of the year certainly sounds safer given the circumstances.

^I agree, the updates certainly are helpful but as mentioned until someone actually receives and mentions they have the their hardware in hand I treat everything else as vaporware before even trusting any with my BTC or money.

I have been keeping things updated weekly if you want to save yourself from having to read through all the BS.

http://www.btcmu.info/articles/145-miner-speculation-who-holds-the-cards.html

But yes most timelines are speculation. BFL doesn't even know the exact date they will ship.

Mining Both Bitcoin and Litecoin.

I still haven't seen any updates on what's happening at the bumping facility or how a slip in the bumping facility schedule would affect the remaining steps in getting BFL ASICs completed.  I suspect that there's no hope now of them shipping on 22 February - the question is whether they'll be able to ship before March.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

March? LoL. Maybe by May-June. Everything they say is about 300% longer, so "next month" means "maybe in 3 months" because they havent even made prototypes yet, let alone production units.

[...] BFL doesn't even know the exact date they will ship.

Forget an exact date, they're out by 4 months on what was supposed to be a 4 month wait. They delayed it into the next YEAR.

I seriously doubt it. Their current lie rosy picture leads one to believe that when the 6000 5000 chips finally leave the bumping facility that they'll have working products shipped within a couple weeks, but that's not at all realistic even for a company staffed with competent labor.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Just because I don't bet on those stupid yes/no sites doesn't mean I haven't put my money where my mouth is.

I think you may actually be right. They have actual pics of their boards now....but I would still be concerned about availability.I actually think they might have more BFL products in the wild than Avalon's in the next two months.

[...] I actually think they might have more BFL products in the wild than Avalon's in the next two months.

BFL already has more product in the wild from their FPGA line, so we know they were legit at some point, but looking at their ASICs, they haven't show a single hash anywhere, they're already 4 months behind schedule, and yet they're STILL pushing and advertising them like they can't get rid of them fast enough. I'd be surprised if even a dozen customers have BFL ASICs two months from now.  Undecided

4-6 weeks

This is the only reliable answer, based on past experience. BFL ASICs are always only 4-6 weeks away.

They're there, in their room.
Your mining rig is on fire, yet you're very calm.
