I will start selling when the price is around 550 dollar. Not all but maybe 10% of my inventory.

Price is not the only factor. If for example it sky rockets to 1000 $ then it begins to go down a little slower, perhaps is time to sell (there was too much buying and it will lower price). very late reply, but better late than never. i don't mind having to wait some years before i see my price targets become reality. i have enough patience and dedication to not touch my cold wallet coins before the price reaches at least $1000 at some point in the coming years. in the meantime i am doing a lot trading to increase my coin count and to entertain myself as i like trading.

Maybe that he bought his coins at $400 flat and want to sell as soon as he doubled his money. Beside that, you haven't even took the effort to secure at least some of your profits? It's always wise to secure profits every now and then as it allows you to close the risk of seeing your profits vanish due to massive dumps.

So you are not happy to sold bitcoins at 1000$.  and you need 200% price increase of bitcoins. Then my friend, you need to wait for few years for this to happen   and again we cant grantee that it will happen even after few years.

And while waiting for another 200% increase once the price reached $1000 mark, there are lots of price fluctuations that really has a large price margin that will happen.

The profit should be more if they always ride those large margin of price movement rather than to wait for a fixed target which is unlikely unpredicatable.

1K is a good price to sell. Not all off course but maybe 10% of my coins. For me the reason to hold bitcoin is speculation and i can hold my coins for years.

So you are in a good position, you do not need the bitcoin to make quick money. I think you will be rewarded in long term.

The closer towards $1k would be even better but realistically if the price does reach to the # I need I`m willing still sell off as long its a close difference.

But my position is just a safety net really to save on price.

Why would you sell for fiat though? If it reaches a certain price then you won't use bitcoin anymore? That makes no sense at all. I get if you would spend some bitcoins but selling doesn't make sense in the long run.

It depends on the strategy you adopt. If you trade, you can buy low and sell high. That will make you some profit.

We can't predict here whether price will rise or fall, if you bought coins for $200 or $300 it will be really a decent profit if you sell now, and those people who bought for $400 or $500 can wait for few more months.

If i will need money for my personal use then I will convert my bitcoin to fiat and will not care that what price it has, as my needs are more compulsory than any profit, and if will not need it then I will not sell them no matter how much its value increases.

Bitcoin prices will move higher for the rest of 2016 and can reach $700 by next month. While the driving forces behind any Bitcoin rally are hard to ascertain, it’s also hard to deny that Bitcoin has had a lot of infrastructure growth lately. But beyond that it will grow up.

$1k is not that easy to achieve and it will test our patience for sure, everyone is expecting to see that price at the end of the year but I doubt it will reach there in this year.
