is bitcoin more popular than US Dollar ?
This is a very rude question. And the answer is very obvious too there's no bitcoin yet but there is USD already. So USD is much popular there are many people used USD from very start and even if you are a bitcoin user you also use a USD. Its that too obvious? Peeps seem to take particular pleasure in deluding themselves into thinking that Bitcoin is (or can ever be) more popular than US Dollar. Don't ruin their castles in the air with your rude answers... They are in for a rude awakening on their own |

How to compare bitcoin and dollar, knowing dollars is the main currency over the world, and bitcoin is just the pricipal crypto coin, bitcoin cant and wont achieve near dollar power, because it cant.

Currently it is not much popular than USD but it has more attraction than USD and for that reason we can say that sooner we will see more bitcoins than USD in our hands and within the people.

of course bitcoin is not more popular, it was around for a really short time only though i think that in the future it might even replace dollar |

Judging by the fact that one BTC is worth $572 USD at the time of writing, the digital currency has surely proven its worth.
I agree with you that bitcoin has proving its worth as the time goes by. But still if we are going to think about it. USD will always be there and no currency is going to be able to defeat. It is not really a good thing to compare them both, but they are both useful if we are going to about it because they are both good currency. Dollar will always be where? Not in my house. In no way do I consider something which can be issued by criminals in arbitrary amounts any time without us knowing about it to be "good currency". Dollar is always going be in the market, economy and the number one currency of the United States and as well it is going to be the number one source of the market value of other currencies in other countries. Still they are going to depend to USD just like here in my country our currency is still depending on USD. Number one source of market value of CNY is USD??? Lol, you couldn't make this stuff up. How does the russian ruble or the euro or the litecocin or silver depend on the USD for value? Of course they don't. The value comes from being able to trade the stuff for food, clothing, drugs, gas, labor, and shelter. Not from converting it to some other scrip. The argument "things will never change" does quite well until that time that things do inevitably change, at which point it fails. Thus the question is ALWAYS not if but when. |

That is true because we feel comfortable if we have a lot of money in our pocket than just stored online, I mean when you are having a party with your friends and your relatives and you were in a place where internet connection is not good, so with paper money (USD) you can easily spend without logging into your account, that is so simple, right? |

That two has a big different that is why i think that is not good to compare it, bitcoin is good as investment while the paper wallet which is (USD) it is good for daily used even the people do not access internet can used dollar. We do not need to compare the two different world with different uses. |

Bitcoin is certainly not more or nearly as popular as the US Dollar. It sure has spreaded all over the world, but more people use the US dollar and almost everyone on the globe knows that it exists, while a lot of people does not use Bitcoin and more people do not know what Bitcoins is or that it even exists. The price might be higher, but it has got less people using it.
Bitcoin will never come even close to the "popularity" and usage of the US Dollar. But that is also not needed. Bitcoin will just function at its own level where people looking for fast and cheap money transfers and a bit of financial freedom. This is where Bitcoin shines. But again, on its own level. Bitcoins' strong suits are getting money transferred quickly across long distances. Also the fact that it is an pseudo anonymous currency makes it great for using as per the internet demands. These are the few facts where the fiats are lagging even in this 21st century. |

of course dollar is way more popular than bitcoin right now, but i hope that in the future bitcoin will become way bigger and make us money USD will always be on the top list because the people are using it for a long time and it is where the bitcoin getting its value. So it is clearly says, that bitcoin is depending on the value of USD. But I am thinking that when the right time comes that bitcoin is going to be more useful than USD, I hope it is going to come too. later or in the future bitcoin will never replace one of the top 5 currency perhaps we can only hope that after bitcoin recognized as a currency which can then be entered into top 10. |
