I want to ask how the odds work? Because I got curious about the odds of Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman (boxing)

-Why the odds spike too huge changes? It is normal?

It's normal to see the odds in this match move towards Pacquiao since he has more fights recently than Thurman.

I agree, I believe sportsbook has odds provider and they just follow it, IMO, not all sportsbook has the same odds provider that's why we see in some sportsbook that they have more betting lines and odds, usually big sportsbook have the best odds provider.

To me using the average data just makes sense, and as you'd expect the odds do vary from provider to provided which is why its important to look around before placing your bet. It's just a matter of being a little smart before throwing away money

Expect that the odds will change as we go nearer to the date of match. As said by ralle14, those were typically the reasons why the odds changes and there's also a small logic to it, if the fighter has more demand expect that odds will definitely change.

It is normal for the odd to change when something impacting a certain events happen.If you see in sport betting the odds are constantly changing as more news become clear about the teams,which player will miss the game,which ones are injured and other information.That is how it works in almost all sport betting websites.

Today at 20:01 for the Africa Cup for Nations match Kenya - Senegal I bet that it will end in a tie @ 3,99 I point out that the price was right because the average bookmakers prices was 3.8 / 4.2.
After a few minutes all the bookmakers lowered the price to 2.9 / 3.4 probably due to some rumors coming from the locker rooms.
When these sudden price changes occur less than an hour from the start of the game, it means that the odds of winning my bet have increased a lot .... Hopefully good
