It seems hard to imagine that it's more popular than the FIFA World Cup title matches, but that's what I've been reading.
Well I am a football fan and watch regular football but I will be saying the World cup football is not something I really enjoy. I enjoy EPL more than those international matches. In modern football, footballers are more focused in club league than other international matches. O am talking Football as Soccer here by the way. It's only been few years since Premier League Soccer has started to take a foothold in the US. It's their MLS (Major League Soccer), if I am not wrong.

I'm actually going to try the 11-streak EPL contest, and I've already won my first one (BTTS on Leicester-Chelsea) even if they had me worried at scoreless half time. Has anyone from the forum actually won it?
Also, Watford double-header, I've parlayed it with a Liverpool win today at over 13/1. Because Deeney, Sarr and Deulofeu will score in the next two games and Everton will wonder what they have to do to score =p.

11 streak EPL challenge is quite a hard one. I do not know what was my best shot but it won't be higher then 5 LOL. In the Leicester match after the goalless first half I thought it will end up with 1 - 0 for any team but amazingly both team scored 2 goals each and all in just half an hour. Congratulations on your winning and good luck for achieving more 10 wins 😉 Has anyone from the forum actually won it? No freaking idea brother. Also, Watford double-header, I've parlayed it with a Liverpool win today at over 13/1. Because Deeney, Sarr and Deulofeu will score in the next two games and Everton will wonder what they have to do to score =p. I never got luck from Watford in this season so I always stay away from them but Liverpool is always lucky for me and problem with Liverpool is that you do not get good odds most of the times.

Damn, Everton scored two goals from corners in added time of the first half. Watford should've hold that comfy lead, now back from scratch... This game along with Brighton next week's fixture might turn out to be pivotal in avoiding relegation considering who else they got on their schedule, some tough ones with United, Liverpool, Leicester, Chelsea, City and Arsenal.

Watford's defense really sucks. Until the 45th minutes they were ahead by 2 - 0 and after the 45th minutes in two minute they conceded two goals! What went wrong with them? I was not watching the match since I was watching Liverpool vs Southampton.
Come on Watford, how many more times you are going to disappoint the fans.

Noooo:((( we had 2-0 against Everton so how did we manage to lose this game ? Everton scored 2 goals in 3 minutes and after another 10 minutes we get a red card so that in last chance of the game, Everton would score again to make it 2-3....what a bad luck this team has and I really hope Watford will manage to save from relegation as they are a solid team , they just need to focus more in order to prevent this situations to happen again.

Well like I said in my last post here, Watford really needs to work on their defense. If I am not wrong then this is 2nd time they lost a match where they were leading by 2 - 0 and then lost a match by 2 - 3 after the full time. What a shame.

The reason why Super Bowl is more "popular" than world cup is the fact that maybe there are more people watching the world cup but it is aired everywhere around the world and the total combined could make up for a bigger audience however it is in every single nation and not compact in just one nation, so when you look at it Super Bowl is watched more than any country watches World Cup in just one nation.
Just to give an example, lets make up the numbers, World Cup gets 10 million viewers in England and 100 million in the world, Superbowl gets 50 million in USA, now numbers are made up of course but as you can see the difference between one nation thing and whole world thing. No company can make ads all around the world for World Cup but on Super Bowl american companies can make american ads to american people and reach more people.

It's only been few years since Premier League Soccer has started to take a foothold in the US. It's their MLS (Major League Soccer), if I am not wrong. You're correct that our national soccer league is MLS but I was talking about the English Premier League, which I believe is more popular here than MLS. At least as far television ratings are concerned. MLS is fun, but most of those teams are a far cry from the teams of the English and Spanish leagues. LAFC, which is the newest club in the MLS has been fun to watch. Don't get me wrong, there are quite a few MLS fans. But, I get the impression that any MLS fan is also an EPL fan, but not necessarily the other way around. I think there are quite a few La Liga fans as well, but I don't follow the Spaniards at all. 2:2

So disappointing. I was really hoping they could have picked up some points from their last few matches. The stretch of upcoming matches doesn't instill a lot of confidence for their chances of escaping relegation. Anything can happen, though. ~ Valid point, but I'm not sure how they're counting viewership and ratings. The NFL has been hosting games in England and Mexico every year for the last several seasons in an effort to expand their fan base. It seems to be working, Mexico has really taken to it. Of course Canada also has a lot of NFL fans, and they have their own fairly popular league as well. I'm sure there other countries where the NFL has seen their popularity grow.

This is something new for me, I did not know that EPL is that popular in USA however I know EPL and some other European leagues have good market around the world including middle east and the east. Landon Donovan is one of the player from USA who I think got good exposure from his WC performance and back in the days, to watch him I used to watch some of the MLS matches but now a days I don't. The last time I have had interest on them when I heard Zlatan Ibrahimovic was there. And he already moved to AC Milan.

I think there are quite a few La Liga fans as well, but I don't follow the Spaniards at all. I am watching some MLS games from time to time and think a good amount of fans/spectators is people with european and south-american roots. Now in the US most people have roots from all over the world, but I am more talking about people that live in the US in first or second generation. They are used to soccer being their main sport and probably all have a favourite team in their motherland and "live" soccer from a young age. Now residing in the US, they just look for some soccer stadium feeling and thus attend the games of their local team and have some fun. The MLS is a very international league with lots of foreign players from all over the world, so these fans can also find some compatriot to support in the teams. And then there is some big names, like Zlatan, Schweinsteiger, who people like to see doing their job live and while still living in Europe were not able to. EPL is of course the biggest league in all of football, so it's just normal that there is fans everywhere. La Liga being quite popular in the US is probably due to all the hispanic diaspora. It's easier to follow a league/sports if you understand the language it is mostly covered in, can read the news, join discussions in forums etc. And La Liga, with those two big giants Real and Barca are, always catches international interest of course anyway.

Actually, one really important point to make here is television viewership is calculated different in the US (almost everyone does PPV and buys actual tickets so it's pretty clean data there) but take a country of similar population like Indonesia (300 million people) where there is a large population that watches free (either pirated or from public viewings that serve hundreds of thousands) and you miss out on all the #s of people watching football (trust me, the whole of Southeast Asia doesn't watch NFL). We also don't collect ticket #s enough here, and fake tickets is a big problem. 100 million world cup viewers worldwide completely doesn't capture the numbers from Southeast and South Asia, Africa and South America. Because we don't pay for our views. P.S. Jesus Watford. Way to break our hearts. Two parlays out the window. And this was winnable but for lapses of concentration in injury time in BOTH halves. PPS. Arsenal can't be arsed to win these days. PPS Spurs anyone?

I really should start to learn more about Super Bowl and how to play it. It looks so confusing,,, but the half time shows are nice to see;)
Other than football/soccer,,, what is the most popular team sport in the world in terms of watching views and of gambling? I always wondered if it was cricket or basketball. I just watched the latest movie from Adam Sandler: Uncut Gems. He bets all on basketball.
The most popular sport in the world is football/soccer and the second most popular one is, like you guessed is cricket. Rank | Sport | Estimated Global Following | Primary Sphere of Influence | 1 | Soccer (Association Football) | 4.0 Billion | Globally | 2 | Cricket | 2.5 Billion | UK and Commonwealth | 3 | Field Hockey | 2 Billion | Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia | 4 | Tennis | 1 Billion | Globally | 5 | Volleyball | 900 Million | Western Europe and North America | 6 | Table Tennis | 875 Million | Globally | 7 | Basketball | 825 Million | Globally | 8 | Baseball | 500 Million | United States, Caribbean, and Japan | 9 | Rugby | 475 Million | UK and Commonwealth | 10 | Golf | 450 Million | Western Europe, East Asia, and North America |
https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/what-are-the-most-popular-sports-in-the-world.htmlI'll be honest. I haven't got a goddamn idea why cricket is so popular. I always thought the second most popular sport was basketball till I see that list few years ago... Didn't even know cricket existed before that.

So , its time for Mourinho and Guardiola to come face2face once more in the Premier League and the outcome is kinda simple right ? Guardiola will defeat again Mourinho as in my personal opinion, Tottenham offensive football was destroyed by Mou when he came with that defensive mentality which pretty much died in football in the last years. Anyway, enjoy a classy game between two great teams, great players, great fans and great coaches.

The difference between why MLS is not entertaining or not watched as much as Premier league is the fact that premier league is global and everyone watches it, not just in England but all around the world people watch that league, MLS is barely watched in their own nation let alone anyone outside of USA, maybe we watched some highlights like how Zlatan Ibrahimovic once scored that awesome goal (yeah plenty of them, whichever you want to imagine) but in general not the whole game.
So, the level of talent difference makes sure people do not really care about MLS since players are far far far less talented than a place like Premier league. However, if MLS was watched as much as Premier league all around the world, they would also have television and sponsorship etc etc incomes that would yield them buying better players as well. Look at Liverpool, they are best premier league team right now and how many of their players are born and raised there?
They keep buying players from other teams and other nations as well, give any MLS team 1 billion dollars and a chance for footballers to play there and make insane amount of money and you will see them going there as well and teams there being fun too.

I haven't got a goddamn idea why cricket is so popular. Because the Commonwealth is so big and cricket has a huge tradition in these countries. Just look at India; they have a population of around 1.34bln (17.5% of the world population) and if I am not mistaken, Cricket is the favourite sport there - one of the few countries, where soccer isn't #1. Check table tennis sitting at #6. This is mainly because chinese people are crazy about table tennis and they even have slightly higher numbers population-wise than India. Same goes for Field Hockey, which then again is a big deal in India and quite popular in a lot of other countries (Pakistan, a lot of western Europe countries).

Really excited to see the results of this promo. I placed my bets (parlay) in this promo but didn't know if I made it or not. Well, regardless of the outcome, I'm just delighted that I got the chance to participate in such thing with just mɃ0.10. Other bookies provide endless promos especially in Super Bowl but they require you to have huge amount of bets on it. Hoping that someone from the forum win some of the prizes below:
