[AVALON] - I got my ASIC Thread (Batch #2)

Order 44XX for coastermonger arrived 5-28-13.  1 unit.  The order was placed on February 3rd 2013, at one of the last possible moments before the units sold out following the Walletbit fiasco.  I did initially have problems with being able to send the full amount, so this was an order that was manually added later in March.

Did not have to pay for customs, shipping, or anything extra.  All in all it was a 6 day period between the time I was notified that the order was complete and the time it arrived at my door.  It was a 115 day period from when I ordered the device to when it arrived.  Would I do it again? Absolutely.  I kind of wish I ordered more of them.

Unfortunately I did not get to open mine because I decided to sell it for the right price.  I'll let you know if I kick myself later, but I feel like I made a good decision and left the device in the hands of someone who knew much more about mining than me.

What is the approx going price these days?

My guest is there are issues getting this information out of Walletbit and or its time consuming to take the orders from Walletbit and put them into the store and then ship.

Walletbit claims they are not getting any replies from Avalon when they contact them, the support guy even has an order of his own that is not confirmed. Perhaps they are no longer on speaking terms ;-)

Its easier for Avalon to just ship the correct orders on the webpage and when this is completed they will then focus on shipping the Walletbit issues.

So 3 months wasted where all these administrative issues could have been addressed?

Black, perfect conditions both units.

They are shipped in sturdy boxes with a lot of foam around each unit.

One unit had a lose screw inside.

Hmm... 27 units delivered.  I am pulling this out of my ass, but I think it's safe to say that not everyone who ordered an avalon posts about it on bitcointalk.  Probably for every unit delivered, there are 1 or 2 that haven't been reported here.  So I am guessing maybe 50-70 have really been delivered so far.  Hopefully they ramp up production soon.

I think they are currently ramping up production. Yifu said in his talk at the Bitcoin conference that they'd be turning out about 50 a day once they got their new SMT equipment up, and that they'd sent out 20 ahead of time to test their new shipping method. The number on this thread seems to be ticking up at a faster rate than usual, so I'd say there's a fair chance that they've got their SMT equipment up now and are turning out machines en masse.

It is completely pointless to post an order number that only shows the first digit. This says nothing if you ordered on or After Feb 3rd. I have been following the order tally closely and estimate that we are around order number 109#'s.

I believe close to 40 have been shipped.

All I'm saying is that to hold a proper tally atleast the first 3 digits are required. 600 Avalons were sold in batch 2, what are you telling me by saying "oh I'm number 1###" and then someone else goes "yeah I'm number 1###", especially when they are shipping about 4 boxes a day and the wait is so talked about.
