I'm having doubts, it can become a internationally currency but I think it than needs a lot more users.
By a lot I mean a lot more and it also needs to become more used than ever before otherwise its not gonna happen in my opinion.
It is pretty obvious that we need to get more users attracted to the bitcoin
currency, then we can see how it take's the whole online payment systems Smiley but it need's to get popular.

Yea, hopefully BTC becomes more popular. If it gets enough users, maybe more businesses will start to use BTC as a payment currency.

If bitcoin to be international currency, what do you think?
You can use it every where and anywhere, without exchange it.
And how to use transaction with it, if bitcoin just crypto currency?
How many people like with this thread?
I look forward to the day when that turns into reality. Bitcoin being international currency would really connect nations and people and make things ever so convenient.
I don't see it happening anytime soon though, the governments wouldn't give up their monopoly over currency in their own nations.
So even though it's desirable it's highly improbable to happen anytime soon, a decade or so in the future maybe.

The state is still afraid of Bitcoin.
If the Bitcoin, or other cryptocurrency, will be widely adopted around the world as the primary means of payment, the entire banking system may lose its relevance.
So while the government decides what to do with it, how to adjust, etc.

That's a realistic statement of yours, it is the government that is the biggest hindrance for the success of bitcoins, they will continue to protect their personal interest at the expense of the taxpayers by continuing the economic monopoly.

Why? Is it not? You mean if I go to the other part of the world I cant buy it or sell it. Maybe even use it to an online shop? I can still use it right? So it is an international currency.
yeah there really is not an international currency was just as calls for currency accepted in almost every country? and bitcoin in use by many people in many countries and I'm sure every country has its users and they accept bitcoin? bitcoin is an international currency? it's just a name

You got me confused here.  Bitcoin is the name like dollar is also a name and both are used as currency.  USD is used as international currency coz it is accepted and acknowledged by different country and Bitcoin is also an international currency because it is accepted ,recognized  and used by people around the world as currency.

Now bitcoin is international currency, bitcoin  is a digital currency that allows for worldwide payments with low or no fees. Because it’s based on peer-to-peer technology, no central authority (like a government) controls Bitcoin. It’s entirely decentralized. You may have first heard of Bitcoin as the payment system behind Silk Road, the online black market later shut down by the FBI. Bitcoin was the Paypal to Silk Road’s eBay.

We all know that bitcoin is an international currency as we can easily transact online and because of the presence of the local exchanges in different areas it could be easy for us to encash our bitcoins when needed.

yes but it is still NOT the international currency,i mean it may actually looks like it but
the thing is there is no such currency. For now btc is just very comfortable for transfering all across the world.

Bitcoin is already an international currency, but only in the internet.
We wont see it change to really "international currency" but im sure the online shopping
will be done by bitcoins after some years, maybe 10 or something.
I don't see how. Btc is not recognized by states and will never be.
It's just not possible because it would destroy current fiat system.
yeah fiat will always win against anyone because fiat in backing by government but bitcoin goal is not to take over the position of fiat but it is an option not a bad thing. the important thing is bitcoin received in almost all countries that fact because I could see the users of various countries in bitcoin

I have never said that bitcoin can actually erase the fiat currency.
I was just meaning that bitcoin is so comfortable in paying online, that it might be more used across the world in paying online,
than any other currency.

Why u call it international currency if some place not support it?

What?!!!! How about this go to Germany or in Australia. Go online. You think you cant buy bitcoin through that? You think you cant order something online when you are in a different country?

It is online so wherever there is signal or you can access the internet then you can use bitcoin. Exceptions are from delivery companies if they cant reach it not with bitcoin.
International does not mean that all country should adopt, the majority should be the basis and with the advent of the internet I don't think it is hard to transact and use bitcoin in online transactions.
So what is the difference of the global currency and international currency if you argue like that?

Government backing doesn't give something worth. Everyone's consensus as to what is valuable is what gives something worth. It's merely a confidence game. As proof, look at any country that suffered through hyperinflation. The government was saying the currency had value, but prices rose out of control because nobody using the money believed it had value. The opposite is true of gold currently, where most governments do not recognize it as acceptable currency (does not having the backing of the government, that is), yet gold still has value because everyone agrees it does and is comfortable with that idea.

yeah bitcoin stands first in the world of cryptocurrencies, it is not supported by the government of most of the countries. it is really hard to overcome fiat system which is established as money by government regulation.

We need to achieve a huge adoption before we can be considered as a strong currency and when that happens the government cannot do any bad thing with a huge volume of supporters because we will beat them for sure.

There will be a law for that. If this is an international matter then maybe the world bank will deal with this also or the UN if it should be legalize in terms that they may control it or will just leave it as it is.

As of jan 2016 there are 100m users of bitcoin and is already a strong crypto currency.
i don't see any reason why gov. would do anything about bitcoin, and what do you mean
we will beat them even with (lets say) 70% of population is using bitcoin fiat money will still
win. bitcoin is better of being an alternate currency than being the main one.

We need to achieve a huge adoption before we can be considered as a strong currency and when that happens the government cannot do any bad thing with a huge volume of supporters because we will beat them for sure.

You are right and I agree with you, it is good that we have to use both and it is important as we have different options to use in our daily transactions especially online, bitcoin is popular now that is why there are platforms in the crypto to integrate FIAT and Bitcoin exchange.

100m users? From where did you get this estimate?
Isn't it tough to get an estimate because people have multiple wallets and addresses?
