Unfortunately, I don't have something a clean and nice looking as you. My GPUs are mounted on Lego buildings. I have only three for the moment, so it works, but it will be soon a big problem once I will have received the missing ones.
Get some wood, like i did, build em yourself. You'll even have fun doing it I have the planks, but I'm not sure what size I should take. So I wait for some new GPUs to join my army to choose the final size.

What do you do after that? They're both as much "off the shelf" as the other. I have those rig frame exactly like your's, its as simple as assembling legos. There is a lot more DIY involved in using wire shelves as base.
Are you saying those are prebuilt buyable kits ? If so where did you buy yours ? They are pre built buyable kits. You can buy them from me here https://gpurigs.com/products/gpu-mining-rig-frameHey, like the idea, nice that there are people out there making a little business out of this Wish you all the luck with that! Just a small thing, maybe you could be a little more competitive, you could opt to lower your prices a little bit. If i would be interested, i could get the same amount of hash, also prebuilt, for 200EUR cheaper. Although, have to say, the cards presented here are older and it would have to be shipped from Europe, wouldn't be as interesting for people from the US.. https://www.ethereumminer.nl/product/Ethereum-Mining-Rigs/ETH-MINER-120MH/Ethereum-Miner-110-120MH.htmlGood job none the less! Greetings! Thanks. LOL at that rig you linked, must be very old. R9 280's have been off the market for a couple of years that rig has 5 GPU's and the 280's will not hash over 20-21 MH/s. So either those are refurb'd GPU's or its a well used rig. Not sure about that. I am also far more competitive in price than the rest of the Eth mining rigs sellers on ebay. Go check the prices, you'll see my rigs listed there and they are at the right price point. After fees and taxes I'm NOT making a killing.

Yeah, like i said, 280's so old cards i know haven't really checked for mining rigs, i always just buy gpu's and build em myself. But i guess you're right though Anyhow, wish you all the luck! greetings

there is no point in using two psu anymore, with the new gpu coming 1kw psu will be enough for example a 1070 from nvidia wil consume 110 on the most demanding algo, so with a 700w your are good to go but since we don't want that our psu die the next day, we go with the 1kw, actually the real problem is that there are no psu under 1kw with 6 slot connection for the gpu... Greetings! if you can build something as clean as the one posted it would be good, i may be interested in the near future with the new gpu, need to check the profitability before if you ship in europe aand the cost is around 100 or 150 with allt he riser it may be a good deal, i like prebuild stuff i don't want to waste time doing it myself, the fun port for me is the mining itself :S

All good reference points. The top case, just wont work for more than a couple of cards. The second DIY open air frame is similar to what I build, minus the risers and I also supply the mobo mounting plate. It's made form MDF board and has 3 mm standoffs for an ATX form factor board. The third option (el cheapo) is just horrible as air flow is an important part of the mining process to keep your cards cool. Cool cards = longer life and the staples stackable file boxes do not allow for proper air circulation, I tried them, no bueno.

Buy that one for $175 Euro. That's like $197.89 USD. Pretty close to what I am selling my frames for at $199. I could swing free shipping in the US, definitely not to Euro zone.

You can build a really skookum frame with PVC from the hardware store and it will only cost you about 20 bucks and be a lot less work. I think some people are over engineering these all metal frames... cutting apart PC cases...Come on! Ill post a short build log when I build my pvc frame, some parts are in the mail. Basically all you need is pvc, fittings, piece of wood for psu and mobo, and standoffs , I bought a 180 piece set for $4 on ebay. Good visual imagination also required

Yeah something like that however the neighbours can probably see all that so I am looking for something a little more private.
Something to exhaust the heat thru a vent hose.
So using my frame built out of the wire shelf; https://i.imgur.com/JFpq8xT.jpg?1I put it against the wall and i'm pushing the hot air toward the window. Here is a rough idea for that setup which is effectively the same as mine; https://i.imgur.com/0CJG9Q3.png?112kW to 6.6kW Yellow is temporary "wall" personally i'm using acoustic panels where i can. Green is the GPU area which would be one wire shelf with multiple levels. Arrow is airflow. The opening is ideally a huge window that fit 20" fans or bigger or a doorway. Mine fit 18"*44* so i'm good for two boxfan and i'm dumping upward of 10kW outside. From the outside you see 2 box fan and thats it. That photo that you drew, it is suppose to be rotated ? Because it looks like you have a window ceiling. Or I'm I looking at it differently. Standard layout and point of view of blueprint. I mean the way you draw a layout on a blueprint is from bird's eye perspective, top down. 12kW to 6.6kW

What are the gpu's that you have to hit 12kW ? I believe you would only reach that much with GPUs such as 280x or 290/390.

If you have no intention of shipping a rig...which is something I do a few times a month....you can fly with whatever makes you happy and keeps your cost per hash down. Edit: FWIW using a custom frame like the aluminum Kada or it's many clones allow a larger operation to push or pull a rig from a shelf and put it on a bench super easily. It's the reason I went this route, it costs more, but for ease of maintenance, shipping and build out it makes my life easy.

Im not in the rig building business but I can understand for commercial deployment the metal rigs and it makes it easy for them to snap in their parts and stack em. Schedule 80 pvc is thick as hell or hdpe would give anyone enough strength and you can always add in cross members to make it more sturdy. But if someone is really paranoid steel pipe works and if someone breaks in or zombies attack you can beat them to death with a left over piece.

Look the same? Not even close. More expensive? About the same price, ~$100 USD.
