All the information needed to complete the sequence is contained within the letters, you don't need to Google anything, just use your noggin. There is more than one letter required to complete the sequence though. The 26 English alphabet letters are used, not a foreign language.

Yeah - guessed it wouldn't be that easy. I looked at the idea of a repeating pattern so simply divided AKMNR into AKMN R and tried to repeat the AKMN pattern starting a R (wrapping around from Z back to A).

Hence showing the lower case letters. The diagonal route was where I was heading next, but nixed the idea after reading the above. I will be sad if the diagonal route proves to supply the answer.
