Thats right.Despite all its cons, PayPal still is dominating money processor and widely accepted and used.I cant use bitcoin everywhere.Only limited merchants accept bitcoin so I have no choice but to keep my PayPal account active

No I don't have paypal,  I just discovered paypal when I joined in bitcoin world.
And when I found out the difference of this two, paypal is very strict when it comes for requirements before you become a client of their company. Unlike Bitcoins especially in the comparison of charge fee between paypal and bitcoins you'll see it has a big difference. Smiley

After see this topic paypal or bitcoin?, i'm curious who have paypal account these days.
Do you still have paypal account even though you have bitcoin?
I do not have a Paypal account because I am not that guy that shops online and stuff, I rather go to the store and see the product that I want for my self in real life.
This way I know what I have bought and what to expect.

I don't have a paypal account because Paypal isn't available in my country yet. However, if paypal was available in my country, I would have certainly made an account.

I don't see the point on this 'paypal vs bitcoin' debate. It makes no sense to use Bitcoin and never make a paypal account or the opposite. Using paypal doesn't make you a plastic Bitcoin fan or vice versa.

Yes, why wouldn't I? 99.99% percent of what I use Paypal for BTC can not be used.

You don't think BTC is a replacement for PP, do you?

It's surely not a replacement, bitcoin is a currency, Paypal is a payment processing system only, that uses a lot of currencies except bitcoin.
Bitcoin has also a payment processing system, but Paypal has a buyer (and sometimes seller) protection system, which bitcoin doesn't have.
Interesting thing is, that if you have easy access to Paypal (not restricted country, can prove your identity), you think twice if you want to user bitcoin, where you don't have protection, if you are a buyer, instead of the Paypal system. If you live in a country, where Paypal is really strict, bitcoin can be the only possible solution, which is understandable.
So based on your circumstances, having both Paypal and bitcoin accounts are possible.

I would continue using my Paypal account if I have already a credit card but before that I should also a valid ID at first. So for now my Paypal is inactive, I created it because some of the services I joined requires it that is the only choice I can.

Yeah, I have both. I'm not using the PayPal account though. I've created it just because in my area PayPal is accepted in most POIs, while BTC is not known here. Except that, I'm earning some commissions on PayPal. So yeah, some extra earnings aren't going to bother me.

Well man I used to have a paypal account a few years ago but when I got to know about bitcoin I dumped that account since I don't like their system. I like bitcoin better since it is easier to transact with bitcoin and easy to send, and receive not like paypal that needs identity verification and credit card that is a hassle.

A bitcoin powered Paypal account is the best. Their system is geared towards consumers, so unless you're selling thru PP it isn't a hassle at all.

Having a paypal account is handy when you have client opportunities that pay $$$ through paypal. I have a paypal account and I don't really mind maintaining it because there is no maintenance fee of having one. On the other hand, my bitcoin wallet is now busy with receiving and sending transactions already at these times Smiley
