I agree with the many who said that the 12 btc is an investment itself.  Leaving them alone is probably the least risky thing you can do with them.  Plus it won't eat up your time and it probably won't raise your stress level.

But, depending on your risk level and your desire to do something a little more exciting than just holding and waiting, 2 possible things to look into are:

1) Buying a physical crypto coin with a couple of the btc.  You can go on collectibles section of this forum and take part in an auction or a sale.  The safest physical coin imo is a casascius coin.  The pros: if you hold onto the physical coin long enough, they can, possibly, end up being worth a lot.  The cons: you're still holding onto a coin, it only makes you money if you hold onto it for the long term, and you have the potential of getting scammed.

2) If you're daring, you could get into trading/arbitrage.  The pros: if you do it well, you can make a good deal of profit.  The cons: there is a steep learning curve!  Again, scammers left and right. Also, to do it well, you have to spend a lot of time...many people do it as a part-time job or even a full-time job. To learn more about this, I would read the forums on localbitcoins.com, and figure what the safest, easiest method would be for you to buy and sell.  (From my own experience, meeting people in person in public places is the best way to start.)

Things to stay away from would be cloud mining and running your own faucet.  From what I have read, these are either scams and/or time and money wasters.

If you want to invest your bitcoins, where is the place to invest it ? Because nowdays it's hard to find a legit investment. For me, it's better to deposit into sportsbook and betting smartly, i'm sure you can earn daily profit same as investment.

but gambling is too risky and he can lose his money in not time and specially if he has no experience of gambling, although gambling is mostly depend of luck but still experience also play important role in it. therefore to me the best option is to hold your bitcoin and not to invest it anywhere, hope you  will get a good profit after some time.

Put it in an ICO with early investor bonus.  Just make sure that the IcO is legit.  Wait till the ICO stage is finish then  the first time it hit ann exchange sell your coin at equivalent ICO price.  Im sure you will get a profit on this strategy. If you have 50% bonuse then more likely you will earn at most 6 BTC on your 12 BTC investment.

yeah true today is very difficult to find investment sites are legit and really does pay to investors. most sites today are ponzi or hyip. so it seems quite difficult to find an investment site is legit. I think it is better to invest in real life that is obvious shape

There are a few programs that do prove their profit and do pay their investors.
If you see our bitcointalk thread, bitcoinbloom does in fact prove that we trade and earn our investors profit with reports posted every few days, and public wallet addresses to also prove these figures.

If we are talking about bitcoin, I do not think that a greater role is given to the legality of transactions. They did no one controls and by and large, if you can earn good money and you believe in this project then it can work.

Agree even bitcoin you can trade it by ut self you can find many more investment who can be trusted and not wasting your money in ponzi  12 btc is not just small amount if you can use it carefully you can earn more with that.

I invested in the mining equipment to mine some Ethereum and then sell the Ethereum to get some bitcoin and hold.

yes i am agree with you. holding bitcoin in present time is a wise decision but if you cannot wait for price increase and just want a fast profit then you should invest your money in alt coin, which you consider have the more potential of increasing the price. if you are a good gambler you can also invest your money in gambling, but gambling is totally risky and you can even lost your 12 bitcoin in a very very short period of time.

with 12 BTC, i think you can use it for whatever you want as long as you don't use it for gambling  like many people said, 12 BTC is an investment itself and maybe you can buy altcoin with only 1 btc, split it into several altcoins, buy when its go down and sell it when its go up. i think for the rest of 12 BTC, you can still keep it, waiting for the rate is up and then you sell it to get profit.

btw, what rate position when you buy 12 BTC? if you buy when the rate is $350/BTC, then for now, you can get huge profit. but if you buy when the rate is $600/BTC then you can wait for a moment for the next pump

12 Btc is good for investment u can think short term invetment or long time investment  , if u want to short tirm investment u can use bitcoin exchanges if u want to long term just wait and buy bitcoin and wait .

Well for me actually , i will invest half of my bitcoin to trading because i like trading and giving me some good profit if i can choose the right one. Yeah , it seems risky but that's better than hold it into your wallet forever without "growing" your balances.

i would most probably do that either, in my opinion trading can give you some decent profit if you do that correctly
