I did loose many times in gambling but at that time price of bitcoin was very low so it was affordable, but at this stage we cannot make the same mistake to put money in gambling as price is high now.

coins having low value back in the days doesn't really matter since 1btc is and will always be 1btc. if you look back at how it is right now, then the value will be much higher of course. gambling in general is bad. the house always wins in the long run.

Exactly gambling will make only owners of the sites richer and it will take away money from users like us and we will be left with nothing in hands at the end of the day.

I see most of the losses are here in gambling sites only, Even we all are doing investment and trading but we all get lose only in gambling, why?
Because we can't play gambling or we can control our-self, but i realize gambling is more lose able thing instead of others like trading and investment.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Gambling is the only place where you loose more and earn less and there is no guaranteed that you will earn from there and that is true that majority of us have lost our coins in gambling.

In actually, gambling is the biggest motivation who drive people to buy Bitcoin, gambling industry has improved a lot under the effect of Bitcoin, because Bitcoin has provided anonymous and fast payment method, and considering the high number of Bitcoin Casinos, everyone is able to gamble and bet on sports matches using Bitcoin.

That's true, many people are buying bitcoins so that they can use them in gambling as bitcoin has made their gambling addiction easier as it gives them high level of privacy without any involvement of third party.

I still don't understand why you would use bitcoin to gamble. The only aspect is privacy, who cares? Just go to a casino and it'll be fine. The worst they'll do is ask you for ID verification.

yes I often lose at gambling and losing in gambling will never recover.

then I lose on trading and it's easy to recover it for me, but it certainly takes time.

Yeah if we loose in gambling then we loose everything at once and there is no chance to recover them, but in trading you always have an opportunity to recover your loss in next trade.

Apart from gambling losses whcih shouldn't be taken into account I guess, I've lost around 0.04 BTC when a dice site had just disappeared I don't remember the name of the site now. A part of that money was my winnings on the site but more than a half was what I deposited there.

I think i had invested in late april and they had probably run way in mid June. I think they were fearing of bitcoin halving unfortunately nothing changes happened in bitcoin rate even after halving. But why they ran away with my money.

They ran away with people's money because their target of scamming people was achieved and that was their main intention and most of the people have lost their money in those scams.

How, and how much did you manage to lose?
I don't count my loses if i lose then im lose and im not managing to keep them back on me because its a part of earning where you could lose your money in investment , trading and other activities there are no sure ball when you want to earn bitcoin and if you lose money from it just don't chase it move on.

As expected   on cloudmining  sites  which are totally ponzi would definitely  goes scam in the long run. As he  said  their intention is to collect sufficient amount of bitcoin from their  investors and when they achieve the decent amount  then they would  run away for sure. Sad to say im included to those  people  being scammed by hashocean before

Majority of users have lost their money in hashocean but luckily I never invested in it as I was not aware about those sites at that time but I have lost many times in gambling.

I have not lost bitcoin before but my friend has lost bitcoin before he has 2 coins in his wallet and the next day it was sent to an address not by him.
So either he got hacked online or he somehow slinged around his phone and got hacked like that.

I have never experienced that problem yet of wallet getting hacked which will result in loosing my coins but sometimes I really fear of keeping bitcoin in wallet as anything is possible here.

Yes, I lost it in some dice games, also in HYIP sites when I am just starting in bitcoin. When I am registered here in bitcointalk, i learned more on trading cryptocurrencies. There are many references here which can teach you trading and minimized your losses.

im ex investor of some cloudmining use ponzi scheme, and for me trade is more secure, but not totally secure 100%, now im focus at mining, because the chance to loose is very small, also i can sell my hardware to make faster ROI.

I don't think this is what OP meant, losing Bitcoins in gambling is not the same as getting coins stolen or being scammed.
You're prepared to lose when you engage in gambling, at least you should be.

I'm lucky enough to have never been scammed and I've not had any coins on an exchange that went down with all funds.

Well being a novice I used a private key from one of those online wallets and transferred 0.015. It hit one confirm and got moved instantly to another address which I have no access too.

I have my bitcoin lost when I invest in cloudmining.  The operation seems legit that time, the first three weeks is doing fine, but in the later weeks, the payout is not coming out until the company shut down.  Well, I never learned and invested in some cloud mining that turned out to be a true scam.  Lol, I lost my investment of bitcoin there of course.
