The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Virwox was built to cater to the in game currency of Second Life & has been in operation for years.

It works.

You can only purchase btc in whole amounts.  You can't buy 1.36 btc.  It doesn't support decimal sums.

Last week, Virwox started accepting decimal buys, with a minimum of 0.5 btcs, but not bitcents.

The Rock Trading Exchange forges its order books with bots, uses them to scam customers and is trying to appropriate 35000 euro from a forum member https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4975753.0

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.
