It's just that now is not very attractive to investors perhaps in the future, although I must admit that retains its value.

True and it have been there for quite a while now. So why people have this questions instead of getting trust from its long time staying. Is the purpose is to take down this altcoin?

Well peoples like talk about every possible thing, for example, if we remember LTC was in $50 levels before, Probably it makes a sense to the statement of this thread.

Finally. I've been looking at the Internet all day and found something I agree with. For that, I thank you. I was thinking that a coin that's more profitable to mine than Bitcoin and way cheaper to invest in, whilst performing it's function better isn't attractive either. Who knows, those litecoin developers and its association are probably going to come up with useless codebase. That's what I'm counting on. 😜

Litecoin is gearing towards mass adoption in order to be utilized as an alternative payment method to traditional payment methods.

In case anything was wondering what Litecoin's purpose was, since most major cryptos (including Bitcoin) are still figuring out what they can be used for.

Sigh...reading your name and post makes me miss

www.litecoinarchive.org ....is it dead for good?

Anyway......LTC is a bit of 'stability' in all this drama in crypto...so whatever works for a niche I guess

There are plans to develop a new forum Wink.

thats good news. i hope they really will. it would be a waste if they don't find ways to make the coin useful.
a market place will also enable the litecoin to circulate too.

Yes, its going to happen.

Not sure what you mean but "dont find ways to make the coin useful". It performs its function arguably better than anything out there now considering its trust, security, stability, adoption, and marketcap. Litecoin is to be utilized as an alternate payment method.

I mean, we dont have 40MB mempools nor do we lose $60 million overnight.  Roll Eyes

There are plenty of places Litecoin can be used, just check out Litecoin.com.

Litecoin is a nice long term investment. 60% gain in 6 months is not bad.

It does not need much efforts. It is a clone of bitcoin. So it will follow every step of bitcoin. It could be a mirror of bitcoin.

Litecoin development of the Core client is done mainly by the Core dev team, including Charlie Lee (creator), Warren Togami (Lead Dev) and Adrian Gallagher (Release manager) + some more.
Other development, such as development of 3rd party clients is done by the Litecoin Association, which is quite large. Marketing is also led by the Litecoin Association.

Just a point of contention, the Litecoin Association does not "market" (I know you are just quoting, I feel its a bad choice of words). The Litecoin Association's main focus is education, both for Litecoin and cryptos in general, as well as protecting community resources such as the international trademark fight that we have been working on for nearly a year now.

Agreed with you, there has been consistent but slow growth in he value of the Litecoins. It is one of altcoin to for the long term investment as I believe the value of the ltc will be increased in the upcoming months as well.

I am not sure about that. The price difference between litecoin and bitcoin is getting larger in the last several years.

Litecoin is alive, but it is just exception. Probably small users group use Litecoin, much more use Bitcoin. Also most popular sites use only Bitcoin.  Grin

Well i think everyone is switching to BTC before halving. LTC diff hasn't moved for a year (since last halving) and is still oversold by chinese miners.
LTC @006 is a bargain because it's the second most resilient crypto currency in the world and it will follow bitcoins development always (same source code except for poW algorithm)

litecoin is highly resilient thanks to chinese miners (and so fast at doing what it has been done for : money transfers)
every site accepting bitcoin will be accepting litecoin soon (BTC big transfer, LTC small transfer) resilence of both networks is HIGH
