well 0.00414 ltc to btc is hardly encouraging in my quest to mine LTC and xfer it to BTC.....

(i know I know not holding LTC on here and moving it to BTC is the equiv of a crypto slave trader on here....)

For a several years of standing in cryptoworld, yes I do believe on that matter it can be consider as sleeping giant for real. In fact, it builds a big community in different countries actually. so I have no doubt in it!

but other altcoins go to $20 then back to lower than $1 in less than 6 months. that has to count for something, don't you think?

That is absolutely true in all way no many coin can be placed in same basket like likecoin, in price market demand community .... you name it
Most just went under dollar in sometimes and less then 6 months, but litecoin is here the longest and still have good price support and they implement segwit

Cant say the price will be again this 40 bucks but maybe comes to half of that amount after all this.

you should mostly think about the price in USD not in BTC when you are talking about an altcoin which is being traded against both of these two.

because when BTC price went up LTC price should have stayed at 3 dollar whatever, so the price in bitcoin (0.005 whatever) went down and now it is gaining value actually.

It's entirely going up, Over 0.005 now. Bitcoin has got closed with the down of it value and LTC have the other chance for doing it more. I was optimistic if that will catch 0.006.

Ya i also agree with you that this rise is mostly the effect of segwit implementation and if it got success then we can see the more high price of LTC and this will be really a very good Christmas and new year surprise gift for the LTC followers who are having faith on this coin from long which is going to pay the reward now.

Litecoin is a good coin. Its price has been STABLE, not a pump and dump and a quick profit potential for trading, I think highly of LTC. Bringing up LTC in this section is usually one way to bring out the people who want a quick profit trading and have no value in the fact these currencies are stable as fuck, that is what you NEED in a currency. I feel safer storing holdings in it than Bitcoin due to less volatility in the price. I am recently receiving some client payments in LTC over BTC due to the TX fee problem.

LTC bagholders always amuse me. Remind me again why do we need LTC?

We totally don't.  Litecoin has been stuck at something like $3 since its inception.  Preev doesn't even load the price anymore, at least not that I see. 

This isn't to say that LTC couldn't experience a good pop.  Dogecoin did earlier this year, it hit over 100 satoshi, which is incredible to me.  There just is no telling in crypto.
