Yep. 100 btc will be blown through today forsure. But will it be able to hit 1000 is the big question. My guess is a top out around 400 BTCMy goal is to be a top 3 investor so of course I want to see as much money raised as possible because the bigger the bankroll the bigger the profits. 400 sounds about right unless people fomo at the end which I suppose is plausible but without that my guess would be around 400 too. 412.4783 to be exact. |

Just wanted to answer some questions with a paper I have been writing for the community.
Executive Summary
The history of Dice games go back to thousands of years. They have played a crucial role in gambling and man’s hunger for entertainment. The desire to bet on an outcome, which is random in nature and cannot be predicted in any form whatsoever has been in the hearts of men for a long time. Dice based betting systems have been a crucial form of entertainment and gambling since the time we were hunters and farmers. As the world of finance has evolved in the blockchain era over the past decade, we now stand at a point of time wherein these age old fashions of gambling can be bought online and profited upon. While there are a number of platforms that aim to capitalize upon Sports and even gaming, there are few established players that look into rudimentary forms of betting which create a return of investment without much need for research. If gambling is to be a form of entertainment, then a player should not have to research upon teams, their performances and other variables to bet. The system of gambling should be easy, quick to access, deliver results at the earliest and provide access to winnings in the least possible time. Additionally as financial markets on the blockchain evolve, it has become increasingly possible for players from around the world to bet upon pools that are larger in size and acquire larger returns of investments depending on the odds involved. This document looks upon the opportunity to capitalize upon dice based games within crypto-communities and the chance for external investors to make a return of investment by putting money into a pool.
While gambling itself is often considered illegal in multiple jurisdictions around the world, the decentralized nature of crypto-currencies and offshore registration of individual corporations combined with a house-pool that’s built by investors from around the globe makes it borderline impossible for individual governments to take such betting houses down. This ushers upon enterprising individuals a new era of prosperity provided they are willing to take the risks involved and develop a simple platform for betting. Conventional houses of betting are often overly complicated or extremely simplified. What we intend to build is a perfect blend of the two. Games that are simple enough to bet, settled within a matter of seconds, but pools that are large enough to accommodate whales and a user base that is multitudes larger than the biggest houses existing right now. While one could always argue that there are a number of other players in the industry, it needs to be understood that the market opportunity that exists remains much larger than what it is capitalized for at the moment and the industry is in its early stage as it stands right now. What we are aiming for is to be the market leader in this current era of Bitcoin mooning and grow on into other aspects of betting such as prediction markets as the product evolves. However, for the ease of understanding what we are targeting we’ll be primarily focusing on Dice games and the opportunity involved for now.
Product Briefing.
The core product will be a simple interface that brings together a dice based game to the masses. They’ll be multitudes of alt-coins being accepted with cross currency exchangeability bringing added revenue to the house . A key aspect to be focused on would be the heavy house balance allowing individuals to take extreme bets and still come on the other side with a much larger profit. We intend to keep the UI as simple as possible in order to encourage users to bet with little sophistication involved in the product itself. The user experience will have heavy research going into it in order to ensure the product is one that creates a habit amongst those that happen to interact with it. A small part of the funds raised will be invested into research and developing designs that ensure stickability of those that come in touch with the product.
1.Open API access
Just like trading has evolved to be driven largely by bots, we believe betting on dice games have largely been fronted by bots off late. We intend to create an open API upon which bots could be implemented as and when needed. What this means for the average user is the ability to place thousands of bets in a matter of minutes with minute amounts of Bitcoin and see if there is an increase. Similarly for individuals that are betting with hundreds of Bitcoin, this could mean an opportunity to make hundreds of thousands of small bets and come on the other side with a profit or loss with little human interaction required. Given there are a number of strategies followed by gamblers in the industry we intend to allow individuals to have the freedom they need to make the bots work on their specification. Perhaps, over time individuals could even “rent” their bots to others on the platform for a fee and the house could charge a set percentage on the rolls and add to its revenue. Regardless, the business is to be built on open access and a strong, robust API
2.Alt-coin Integration
Ethereum’s historic rise in altcoin prices is a great example of how alt-coins are reinventing public perception and utility on the blockchain. We intend to create an open mentality about emerging coins and intend to have a system where-in any alt-coin could be bet with. The internal system of the house would automatically peg it to the USD value and offer the alt-coin at the time of the withdrawal. By being inclusive of communities that were otherwise sidelined by betting houses we intend to create a system that would generate massive marketing blitzkrieg and thereby generate growth for the platform.
3.Cross Currency convertibility and USD Pegging
We are currently working with experts from other betting houses to integrate their intellectual property to ensure the alt-coins we work with. These experts have worked on exchanges in the past and proven their prowess in the development of a new gambling enterprise related to the gaming industry. The cross convertibility feature would allow the platform to accept any alt-coin and yet remain unexposed to the risks of fluctuating prices. Since the currency itself would be pegged to USD the individual would be able to utilize the platform to remain unscathed in the event of a rapid price crash. The purpose of doing this is to ensure we can leverage the power of the crowd while remaining protected from major price fluctuations.
4.Cross Platform Integration's
The founding team is currently involved in discussions with other gambling projects that focus on more sophisticated systems of betting for an active integration of tokens across platforms. This means we'll be able to capture on the growth of other betting projects and attract even more users without heavily spending on marketing. This cross platform synergy adds value to the end user by ensuring they do not have to move coins across each system in order to bet but rather will be able to leverage the large pool of the house.
5.Strong Referral system
At the heart of every great product is a strong marketing chain that enables an increasing number of users to come across the product and see what it offers. We will be working on integrating an automated referral system that awards users in due fashion and plug in with a number of faucets to have users get a taste of what the platform offers. Referral incomes will be automatically redeemable as and when the users attain the required levels of income and be processed in a daily fashion at the least in order to ensure the affiliates we work with are well paid for their work.
Areas of Focus
The primary target of rebuilding a dice based betting system can be summed up in two simple terms
1.Volume
2.Speed of betting.
In order to attain the first target we’ll ensure that the pool of the platform remains one of the largest in the industry. We are targeting to keep at least around 1000-5,000 Bitcoin in the pool. This means large-scale whales who are looking for an avenue to make a return of interest on the coins they hold. These coins will be held in publicly verifiable multi-sig wallets from where a whale could possibly make a withdrawal as and when needed. What we are aiming for is the establishment of smart contracts that facilitate the betting without us having to interfere at multiple junctures. To sum up the goal of the organization in regards to pools here is what our approach would look like
•Primary focus on establishing the largest pool
•Ensuring the investors have a maximum ROI on resting their funds with us
•Contractually enforcing the funds through multi-sig wallets
•Ensuring liquidity and complete accountability of the raised funds.
In order to attain this target we will leverage
•The blockchain - the crucifix of financial transparency
•Multi-sig wallets - for investor confidence
•Smart contracts - because older forms of conducting business are pre-dated
The system of accounting and fund liquidity will be developed by experts with experience in working in high frequency trading firms with the required financial insights to build a platform that brings both utility and a strong return to the developers of the platform. A key focus of the platform would be to ensure that the platform leverages multiple chains and the optimal conformation times offered by a number of them to ensure faster bets . If the pool is large enough then the platform will be able to accommodate millions of users placing bets simultaneously without much stress. This combination of large pools and an even larger user base will ensure maximum return of interest for the investors that back us early on in the growth cycle of the project.
Conclusion
This project has in it to do to gambling what the DAO did to crowdfunding and digital governance by remaining independent of individual greed yet providing a sustainable system for individuals around the globe to generate income on idle capital. The way the funds will be handled, our open approach to cross currency integration and the desire to peg currencies to a stagnant value, unexposed to constant fluctuation would generate a new era of consumer satisfaction and profitability for the end user. The mission of the platform is to evolve to a point where the platform is the defacto name that comes to mind every time an individual is looking to bet with Bitcoin in an platform free of clutter. Furthermore over time we intend to create localized versions of the platform to accommodate international communities that have other wise been ignored or not catered to.
To sum it up,
Dice games may have been here for thousands of years and the crucibles of what makes it special such as the odds of various outcomes could often be stagnant but it remains largely plausible to reinvent it for the blockchain era and that is what we’re aiming for.

Great paper. Will LISK be a part of this project?
After reading the thread I got the impression later down the line that LIR will be part of the LISK project in ways of using their tech for dapps. If that happens it can only be good for all those involved. |
