Well be sure that you can get back at Stratis in a later time . Yup BTC has indeed stepped up but still in a precarious situation as SegWit implementation is coming. But by the looks of it, seems does not really matter. After August 1 , operation will be as normal for Bitcoin .

Will staking work with VPN?

I'm connected (16 active connections and staking for over a month now) - but my rewards are way overdue.

I'm always using vpn when online, so could that be the reason?

Also, my vpn ip address is not listed here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/strat/#!network

I'm guessing it should be on the list, so something is not right...

It seems that people woke up in States. There are big green Stratis candles at the moment.
Trading volume is increasing heavily, and the best thing is that Stratis is no longer in lockstep with ETH.

ETH is actually declining - but Stratis is not.

I think that STRATIS will start going up again now as more and more problems come on ETH through hacks etc, people will look to run ICOS also on other platforms like STRATIS as well. There will be competition for ETH supporters now as new platforms take some of the future market.

Cryptomarket is a cruel mistress

It's a very good thing, that there's finally some real competition. Too long has ETH monopoly lasted, IMO.

I think, the biggest problem with ETH is the fact that it's stiff and monolithic - and therefore very slow (or even sometimes, unable) to adapt in changing conditions, whereas Stratis is built for flexibility and evolution in mind - or as somebody put it; 'Stratis is future-proof'. And as Charles Darwin told us, species who can adapt in changing conditions are the ones who survive.

Well, first you need a staking wallet. You can find the link to it from stratisplatform.com website, under tab 'wallet'.
There's a link which takes you to the github, where you can download it - either for Mac or Windows.

Then you should read the wallet documentation, which can also be found from stratisplatform.com website, under tab 'wallet'

Important: Never download the wallet software itself from anywhere else, than behind the link provided by the stratisplatform.com-website. You should always go to the official stratisplatform website first, and follow the links provided by them.

Don't even trust this forum, when it comes to direct wallet links. The links may be genuine, but on the other hand, they may be not.
Always play it safe, and go via the official route.

One more safety measure...
When you end up into github page (by following the official links all the way from the stratisplatform website), click the green lock in the address bar, and make sure it has the following info:

If it says all that's in the picture above and Verified by: DigiCert Inc then you can be pretty sure, it's not a fake or malicious site.

But basically, all you need is a staking wallet (which is online in staking mode) and some STRATs. The documentation explains the rest of the details (how to enable staking mode, how to backup your wallet(very important, that) etc...). It's actually very simple

Stratis is doing pretty darn well compared to other alts at the moment.
ETH (and even BTC) are pulling a flat line at best, and most of the alts are struggling as well - but not Stratis.

Stratis has thermals under it's wings, and up it goes. This is beautiful

And another thing. Stratis is at the moment the 5th most traded token in Poloniex (in front of it are BTC, ETH, LTC and Ripple). Not too shabby
