I predicted the bounces very well though, and profited.  Nothing wrong with that.  If you want to buy high and average down on crashes, go for it.  I think it's far smarter to flip.  But if you got in early on the ICO I respect that too.

It's hard to hold onto STRAT as it goes sideways/slowly down, when you could just dump it, take your loss, and then make up that loss in a few hours holding ETH or another altcoin. I feel like that's why there's such a dump going on currently.

To be fair, STRAT was overvalued for where its at with development anyway. ETH has skyrocketed because it already has numerous projects in development (many with beta products nearing release status). STRAT has none of that. If you believe in the future of STRAT buy it when it hits bottom and hold it. Once real progress is made with it, you'll see the raise you're looking for.

That's exactly what I was trying to say here, albeit a bit more harshly, but truthfully, I was just saying Stratis was overvalued given that they haven't really launched much yet, and people were saying I'm an idiot because Stratis should be in the top 3 by the end of the month.  Long-term it may be good, but that was my concern.

In any case, I come from a trading background, and prefer to scalp trade.  That means I lose out often on the big, long-run investing, but most of my calls on this thread have been correct or very close.  I called the drop to .0032 and subsequent bounce.  I also recently called the drop to around .0021 (I was close, but it hit .002), and now it's bouncing from that point.  I buy and flip these bounces, and I do well.

I do intend to buy and hold long-term, but I don't think it's time yet.  At this moment right now though, I am still holding onto the ones I scooped up at .00226.  I think this bounce here will be a good one, may even go over .003 before falling back down again or perhaps even leveling out.

You are 100% correct and to recall this coinbiz guy kept on spreading false info about stratus and yet he himself (she/herself) bought some tokens and brag about it boy... such a loser!!!

I share the same sentiment. Its better to ignore him/her rather than arguing about it. We should blame poloniex for taking down their trollbox now they cant find other channel to talk about their trades.

It was totally expected bounce back to happen anytime in stratis market. It has given again huge profit to people sticking around it just in last 24 hours. Stratis may has finished its correction phase already and now is on its way to make new all time highs from this point of starting the rally.

Never forget that yesterdays dump was also because of Ethereums huges rise. Nearly all altcoins were down, cause all wanted to throw there money into ETH to "ride on the wave"

I think next week will be our week. Thus these huge minus to its alltime high it had resisted quite good.

Stratis is one of those projects that took way too long to get going and it is suffering because of it.  The problem comes when the ANN gets all that excitement going and then a handful of people come back and back and watch the thread and thoo much time passes while they wait on those promises to be met.

Real development takes time. Swing traders shouldn't care what coin they trade as long as it's volatile. Long term investors don't usually cry about a dip. It's normal.

I wonder how much of stratis price rise is due to such phenomenon. I personally genuinely believe in the tech and the team and the imminent release of the side chain projects, Breeze Wallet and long term adoption for the platform. How much Shilling is taking place within the Stratis community as opposed to other coins communities?

I am holding a lot of STRAT, I do not wish the dips, but I think the most valable coins do not need circlejerking.

It is refreshing to hear talks like from coinbiz.

And yes, if anyone thinks the way up will be without huge dips, he is not sane.

I think everything except BTC is way overvalued, but stratis probably way less than ETH. Let's see how they deliver.

Absolutely. It is refreshing to hear from coinbiz (and other skeptical bitcointalk-forummers) , else this is just a circlejerk positivity fest.
And that bothers me, it's just not believable.
