So I have invested BIG in DAO and got slapped in the face with yesterday's DAO Attack.

What is the best move to do now??

1) Sell all my DAO with 50% loss?
2) Hold on my DAO and hoping it could regain its price back in another 26 days.

Is there any chance that DAO might actually hold value again? Or was this the death sentence and getting out is the ONLY way.

Would appreciate some input asap.

PS: I noticed a lot of BUY action for DAO in Poloniex exchange and that is confusing me more and making me double think b4 selling.

Probably you didn't lose much due to the BTC rise. Look at the fiat equivalent. Probably you haven't lost anything so far.

Technically speaking, I did not lose due to the massive jump in BTC value!

But from a sole DAO scoped prespective, I would like to know if the best move now is to SELL DAO for BTC/ETH or hold my DAO in hopes that it would gain back its value (If that was even possible).

How would it be a 100% loss? It would be about a 50% loss at the moment.
I think it is dead, I would sell, but others will disagree.

I personally didn't like the idea of the DAO anyway, even if wasn't hacked.  It could rise again, but it is such a gamble right now.

I meant 50% loss.. Thank you for noticing (Fixed in original post)

I guess I will wait and see!

I lean towards ETH is going to $7 or $1:

Btw, the way The DAO was designed, it was totally useless. I (just recently started to) like the concept of a DAO if it is done right, but no one has yet.

So I have invested BIG in DAO and got slapped in the face with yesterday's DAO Attack.
Rule number one (according to Buffet) in investing: Only invest in things you understand! My guess is nobody understood the DAO, otherwise they would have known the contract simply allowed for Ethereum to be taken out this way. That only leaves greed hoping for a quick profit as a reason to invest.
Basically you are even better off now compared to when you invested: you know more about what you've invested in. If that makes you lose trust, you should get out.

it is hype for scam purpose only

In the case of DAO, Slock.it, and Augur, then that seems to be the case. There is no valid use case which isn't game theory broken for those. Expect The DAO to eventually collapse in a massive clusterfuck of theft and waste with most losing their money. Wise people would get the hell out of The DAO as fast as they can, because the DAO is broken in the sense that you can be jammed from exiting.

Decentralized crowd funding might be viable.

+1, have the same feeling, would sell to limit possible loses...

Sell and buy back later at 0.5x the price. But better stay away from it if you don't understand how it works and it appears you don't.

The DAO is 50% loss at the moment. But it is converted back to Ethereum, you will get 0.01 Ethereum for each DAO, so you do not lose any thing if the Ethereum price is same or higher.

For small investors, it is better to stay away for the time being. The situation will get clearer in the next few weeks.

I would sell everything because IMO the DAO is finished and ethereum will get dumped further down with dead cat bounces on the way down. Take what you can get back while you can because otherwise you risk losing more money in the long run. I don't know if ethereum is finished as a coin but it's going to continue getting dumped.

Sell out as long as you still can find buyers. Daotoken likely to go zero.

You can easily find buyers at the moment. If there is further drain of the DAO to hackers account, it could go to zero.

The price of both Ethereum and DAO are recovering. It seems people still have confidence in it. but it could also be a dead cat bounce.
