I would pick Gridcoin (GRC), as it is one of the more interesting coins out there. It's idea is brilliant but also easy to understand for people not in crypto before, see for example this thread that was on the frontpage of reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Futurology/comments/4b4drk/a_currency_minted_by_doing_science/t1_d16hch5It replaces mining with doing research for scientific projects, for example to cure Ebola ( http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/oet1/overview.do), fold proteins ( https://boinc.bakerlab.org/) or find aliens ( http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/). From a user's point of view, he simply has to run simulations from the different projects using the BOINC software ( http://boinc.berkeley.edu/). Then the network comes to a consensus, who has contributed how much computing power to BOINC, which can be seen for example here ( http://www.gridresearchcorp.com/gridcoin/?result&t=CPID_Leaderboard). This process is decentralized among all nodes, there is no central server issuing all coins like it is for example the case with Curecoin. In some blocks this consenus is saved in the blockchain and the reward one gets when staking a block is proportional to how much research was recently done for BOINC by this researcher. The network is secured with Proof of Stake, but there is an additional (much bigger) reward depending on how much research the boinc account associated with the staking node has done. Setting it all up has been quite complicated in the past, but the pool on pool.gridcoin.co has made alle this easier and already has more than 1100 active miners/researchers ( http://pool.gridcoin.co/rankings) I also has very active development, here is the main forum: https://cryptocointalk.com/forum/464-gridcoin-grc/More information and tutorial to set it up here: www.gridcoin.us If you are interested visit our IRC: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net:6667/#gridcoin

Hey Guys, currently I am having around 100.000 (hundred thousand) Dogecoins. I don't know if I should try another Altcoin than the Dogecoin so my question to you is now... What's your favourite Altcoin and why excactly this Altcoin?Best regards, Patrick All guys here have mentioned almost good prospects, but unfortunately for you, doge is undervaluated just now, I mean your amount is equivalent to 0.045 BTC at current prices, if you go to ETH probably you get 2 ETH only, I do not want to give you bad advice or not discouraged(Mainly because I do not know if really doge might have more high value in the future or not), probably you could draw your own conclusions, cause is the same maybe 2ETH or even 0.045 BTC it may seem small now, but tomorrow who knows.

It might sound strange to u but I don't have a favourite altcoin. I like some more than others but I know there will always be something better cuz technology is evolving all the time.

In the long term I really believe in lisk. For now I like dogecoin, it may be not good for trading but for sure the transactions are instant, the fees super low, and the stability of its price makes me feel safe when the other coins have a hard dump.

I always choose my favorite Super Bowl team at halftime which means I'm rarely disappointed. So my favorite alt is the one that makes me disgustingly rich.

Obviously Litecoin, old and reliable coin, stable, strong and Chinese people loves Litecoin
ETH, Lisk, Dao and other trash pre-mined "pump and dump only" coins I'm out, I'm not retard to invest my money in trash like this
Bitcoin and Litecoin, actually the better coins.

Loyyal is my current favorite or maybe not favorite but the one I am most interested right now, along with BRK at a close second. Loyyal because it has been in the works for a while (it is a rebrand from ribbitrewards) and they have got some pretty good people on board and if it all works out then this could be huge, there is one major thing which is uncertain and that's how the swap from ribbitrewards to Loyyal will work, will it be 1 for 1 or something else. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1508111.0BRK - Breakout Coin, mainly because I like Poker and I have been testing their new poker platform and it is simply great, outside of Breakout Coin and their Poker platform there are a ton of other things happening, again if this all goes well it could be rather nice. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1509819.0

What's your favourite Altcoin and why excactly this Altcoin?Best regards, Patrick My favorite altcoin is probably Ethereum, but after the fall of prices, I turn to other cryptocurrencies. I found a lot of other interesting altcoins, with a price that changes a lot, but they are not really secured.

You'll make good money with both of those short term and long term with minimal risk. Yeah, these coins made me the most money in the past. LTC roadmap is coming (soon ) and its great to trade on OKCoin with fiat. I'm not trading it with BTC pair.

Hey, this looks like voting for the favorite song - everyone has it's own taste.
It would be more useful to write - WHY some altcoin is your favorite?
