I once received a low amount of bitcoins randomly, I honestly still do not know from who and for what.
Of course I do not mind that it has happened but it stays weird.

The chances of that happening is very slim. <Accidental transfers to a wrong address> You do get people, who would send a few Satoshi's to a known address, just to advertise something, but that cannot be defined as accidental. There are simply too many possible addresses for people to make that mistake. ^hmmmm^

This never happened to me but I would love if it did. To suddenly and unexpectedly see 0.3 BTC in your wallet is something no one would mind I guess.

I have never received bitcoin accidentally or randomly! Probability of happening so is very less. I have never sent bitcoin to any wrong address as well  because I always double check before sending bitcoins and sometimes when I send large amount, I use to check up-to five times.  Grin Tongue

Not till toady its happened with me but I think some day it will happen. If i got some free btc then it will be a good thing for me. But as i know about btc it will never happened. Because everyone copy and paste address when they send btc. No one type an address.

Yes it happened to me ones, i recieve 100k satoshis in my wallet , I was shocked because ididnt do anything that day about bitcoin and i dont withdraw my funds in other sites, So i was a little happy and lucky
100K satoshi is 100k satoshi and if you received it for free, that's great. It would be nice for me to experience that as well since I have not been lucky enough to be the recipient of those bitcoins being sent accidentally. Would probably use them to buy altcoins since it's something that I'd consider just bonus and not afraid to lose all of it.
I have never received a ghost coin i think that it cant happen to many times
because many people are looking after it becasue the price of one bitcoin is really high so you dont make mistakes with it.

I am not that lucky to receive any amount of btc randomly or accidentally as God has already told me that if you want to earn money then you need to make efforts, don't look for shortcuts.

Yes 2 times.

Once I received 1.14+ BTC on a dice site. Turns out a chat user withdrew his money to my address by mistake. And I returned it at that very moment.

And the second one is even more surprising. I received a 0.004 BTC payment from a random address. The address was spamming the bitcoin network with 1 satoshi transactions and I don't know why it sent 400k satoshi's to my adress.

It never happened to me, but if that happens that would be awesome, but in case i receive any donation i would search first for that address if i can found any contact info about him and if i could i would as if he sent accidentally or it was a donation to me.

I had funny situation like that. Well, not exactly - I will explain. One day some time ago I received random amount of btc - IIRC it was something like 0.01 or less something like that, quite insignificant really.
I was wondering where this money come from, and at first I couldn't figure it out, initially I thought someone tipped me or something.
But after day or two I realized that this BTC was bonus from some new casino I said I will test with free money. But I was confused AF back then because I forgot about this offer at first.

I actually did. It came from this address: 1Enjoy1C4bYBr3tN4sMKxvvJDqG8NkdR4Z

Also, if someone were to mistakenly send me maybe 150000 bitcoins, I would not return it since they know better than to ignore who they're sending it to.

"I accidentally sent them, may I have them back?"
Pfft. Impossible for you send me BTC by accident, especially with that large of an amount and considering I usually use vanity addresses. As if 1PandaExaY8XmCLSWbAw2prEjbYKgHY2g wasn't obvious enough.

It's your responsibility to double check, and it's your fault for not doing so. Therefore, your stupidity will give you an expensive lesson. By accidentally sending BTC to that address, you are completely giving up and transferring ownership of said bitcoins to PandaLion98, implicitly or otherwise, and it is at his sole discretion as to what he'll do with it (definitely not going back into your wallet). You have/had all the opportunities to make sure that your bitcoins be sent to your intended recipient, but you blatantly ignored them.

Moral lesson: Always triple check your destination address, especially with large transactions.

I'll be sending a link to this post to whoever messes up and accidentally send me their bitcoins.

I guess I am not that lucky to receive free bitcoins out of the blue. No such things never happened to me.

I had to always earn my bitcoins. Be it from trading, mining and signature campaigns. Nothing came free to me. I had to spent a lot of time to earn my bitcoin. Instead I received less bitcoins few time than expected. Cheesy

There was a thread recently that someone put up, they received an amount and was trying to find out who the sender was so they could notify them and send it back.

I think it is the decent thing to do in the first instance making public the address it came from and txid in the hopes that someone searches for their address to see if they can find their missing bitcoin, then if you cannot find the person at least you tried, it could be that persons last penny, you never know their situation and although they should have double checked the address accidents can happen.

Then if you can't locate them it's down to you what to do with it.
