It could be sent mistakenly from someone.  Most likely the one you have a transaction before since maybe he still have your bitcoin address.

It never happened to me and would like that to happen.  I just hope that no one would ask me to give it back.  But if ever they message me then I will just sent it back to them since it is not really mine.  But that would be an amazing thing to happen but that would be so rare.

I do not think that someone will message you to sent it back to them.  It is totally impossible as he only knows the bitcoin address not your email address.  But in case that it is your friend or someone you have transacted before then it could be possible.

We all wanted to happen that to us with a good amount of bitcoin.  If that happens then it must be pure luck. Grin

Yeah it would be great to receive a amount of bitcoins for free without doing anything, so far I haven't received a single penny in charity and even in future I don't think its possible.

No, I did not received bitcoin randomly. If this happens then maybe I would consider it as a loan if its a big amount and then I will use it in trading and then when I earn enough, I will send back the bitcoin because maybe it was sent wrongly to me and the sender might feel bad because he just lose his bitcoin and maybe its hard-earned so I will send it back. However, if its just small like I will just spent bigger amount in transaction fees by sending it back then I will just keep it.

I heard before here that someone already receive a large amount of bitcoin i think its accidentally because they didnt know where bitcoins comes from..
If i am one of the lucky receive even 5 btc i will just try to find who sending me with proof and sign message if i still didnt find them i will keep it for a long time..
I think less likely if they get bitcoin randomly. moreover bitcoin address of each person is different. if you type the address of a different one letter only. Your transaction will probably fail dude. I can confirm that a person is very lucky ?

Yes.

Refunding BTC or simply any payment for that matter just gives off a cool feeling.

Let's continue to stay strong and keep the cycle going

No. If I were to receive Bitcoin randomly I will send it back to the owner if the person somehow get back to me. Anyway, my address is a vanity address, it is very easy to find me. Which in turn also mean that it is very hard for someone to send wrongly to a vanity address.

I once dreamed of receiving 5 Bitcoin in my wallet (the dream specifically pictured Mycelium and my phone) however.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Time to be active on the crypto forums again? Proud to be one of the few Legendary members of the Sparkie Red Dot!

Gonna put this on my resume if I ever join a cryptocurrency/blockchain industry!

I did received Bitcoin 3 times accidentally every 2 weeks. I don't know if this is accidentally sent to me or someone is helping me but i didn't received any message from anyone.
oh wow, i guess you were really lucky about it, as far as i remember i have never received any money out of the accidents because i dont give my btc address to anyone
Sometimes what happen is we put our address in many sites when we even do not remember how many places we have given our address. And some places we might get referrals in sites like faucets and all and hence we get profit every day or weekly and wonder if its free money.

No, havent experienced that yet but that would be awesome if ever. But if someone claimed it that he/she accidentally send it to the wrong address. As long as he/she proved it i'll give it back to him/her wether he will give me a tip or not i will still give it back.

Yeah if they prove that they are the genuine one then we can afford to send them back, as there is no point in having fun with others hard earned money.

Lol I think most of the people will do the same, as if you receive very high amount accidentally then you may get greedy and won't take any decision ethically.

Yes I received 0.02 btc once in my multibit wallet and I was wondering who have sent me, and as I was a newbie at that time so didn't knew how to track it and none claimed it too.

never experienced it in bitcoin wallet, but I've ever experienced this on the dice sites, I was surprised when it suddenly my balance in dice sites has 1 BTC and then I try to withdraw. This happened about two years ago. I was very lucky, even when I am very happy, because I never get a 1 BTC, even hard for me to get bitcoin when it's time.

I have only received small "salt" amounts that looked like advertising spam but I wouldn't mind a larger sum.   Grin

Same here but my friend actually reached 0.2 btc out of nowhere and I think it's a mistake but are addresses that close to eachother that one typing error could send it to a different person? Anyways I'm waiting eagerly on those million bitcoins to be send to my address acccidently Wink

I have never received randomly bitcoin and I think chances are very slim cause people copy past addresses and I don't know anyone who would just type over an address haha so anyways chances would be so slim that probably you will never receive anything from a random address. But it would be amazing to receive a bitcoin randomly.
