IT IS NOT THE SAME COIN. Teslacoil is a 100% different coin, created after TES and actually dead I think.

TES is the only original, true, real crypto project inspired by Tesla.

I found some old wallet files from Jan 2014. Thought I still have TES in there. Using Windows.

I installed the new wallet, downloaded the bootstrap from mega, replaced the files in the new /users/... directory and copied my old wallet.dat file into it. Then I typed 'checkwallet' in the console, answer is {"wallet check passed" : true}. Same result with 'repairwallet'. I am still missing my old coins in the new wallet.  

Any suggestions? Thanks!

After starting your qt wallet close it then go to appdata teslacoin folder and replace the existing wallet.dat with your old wallet.dat and start your teslacoin qt wallet. Then checkwallet and repairwallet. Usually wallet shows the remaining coins instantly. I hope your coins are still there. Mine was still in my wallet after 3 years.

I unlocked my windows wallet and let it run but now a bunch of coins are gone and it's out of sync. Can it be that I need to catch up or soemthing it doesn't show that it's been hacked and stolen (sent) just it's not there my balance is smaller?

It can't be stolen unless someone knows your password and that person has to use your computer. You can PM me your wallet address and I can check it for you. Maybe it's not showing up because it's staking.

Thanks @Tara11, PM sent. I don't think it's stolen it would show coins sent in the transaction log. Not sure what's going on the pc it was on crashed and i rebuted it then this happened. Not sure how it's connected.
