XAPO Hot Wallet Service did turn into SCAM! BE AWARE !

I can't believe that XAPO is actually scamming People on purpose.

I am using it for 1 month now with no Problem.

The reason why I like XAPO and why i don't believe it's a scam is that it funded by some of the biggest names in private equity (e.g. Fortress Investment). These guys earn millions per day and would never Support a Company that is scamming for a few Bitcoins. Just not worth the negative PR. I doubt all These big names involved in XAPO would Support any such corporate policy.

Yes, I can assure you all that Xapo is not a scam. I am the Head of Customer Support at Xapo and due to regulatory reasons, if users have reached some limits or we did not previously ask for their information and then they reach a certain limit, then we are needing to ask for ID verification. We apologize that this was not communicated to some beforehand and also I apologize that we have a backlog in getting to some cases. Also something I wanna know this summer I want to use the xapo debitcard that I have unused in my pocket. But so far didn't need to use it so what happens when I start using it this summer. I really hope that I don't get blocked at the moment when I try to use it. Maybe good idea that there is some clear and good info for all XAPO users so they don't get disappointed.

Somehow I still can't fully understand what the actual Problem was. It's seems to be related accessing capo via proxies. So its more a security measure to lock the account?

At the Moment i have less then 10$ there. No Need to Transfer I guess.

So this happen when you decide to use the XAPO debit card. If you already verified yourself what info do they need more then they already have from you. I am still curious if this will happen for all of us need to be sure that I can count on the XAPO debitcard without getting problems.

It's ridiculous - they are not big, obviously they can't establish proper support for years. I know a girl from XAPO support - she's doing her job fine, but for a serious approach you need >1 girl in support team. They even stop supporting official BCT thread.

Or you can say that the whole cryptoland is small, amateurish, timid and shady, it can't get big because of Big brother - then I'll agree with you.

To make a long story short the problem is you only need 1 wallet, Multibit HD or Electrum run in a clean PC (you have to be sure its clean and take neccessary steps to keep it that way) as the private keys, the seed will never leave your PC. While I have said many times, keep your bitcoins in a third party website which offers wallet for bitcoin is not the wisest thing to do but warning in this forum is not taken seriously apparently, still I don't get tired of warning against ponzi scams and web online wallets.

I dont like my wallet to be deactivated so need to be careful if it's will happen,my suggestion for you sir don't put all your bitcoin in one wallet, there is some online wallet deactivated by moderator
Without even warning so be prepared if it will happen . I do not trust any kind of online wallet coz there is a posibility that it will take your worked bitcoin so use desktop wallet to be sure.

Be Aware Guys! Dont loose your Money on wrong Immpressions like Xapo.com! They will simply lock your balance from one day to another..

I have been using Xapo for sometime now but was not an active user. I recently thought to get involved in the bitcoin arena and use bitcoins to make purchases..... Believe me guys, I'm quitting the Bitcoin because of Xapo! They have cheated me out of £250. I purchased some bitcoins and was instructed to wire fund to their account. I sent it and they have sent me an email saying purchase cancelled. I have now been inquiring for over 10 days and have sent more than 15emails but nobody is getting back to me. Believe me guys.... STAY AWAY FROM XAPO! They're just another bitcoin scamming site. Send money to them at your own risk. I have contacted their investors as well..... but Xapo are not bothered they have my money:(

Me too. but I am just using the simple wallet to receive and send payments. I have not get any problem but after reading this post. I prefer to go to xapo and redeem all my balance from there. taking care is better then loosing money. I've 0.5btc in xapo and they are too important for me. I've earned them in 6 month with my hard works. and don't want to loose them..

Calm down, stop yelling SCAM! and get in touch with customer support. Xapo is a pretty reputable business and I'm sure they'll help you resolve any issues.

If you want to continue using Xapo, you can submit your ID proof and get your account activated. It's only for our security and Xapo has been the best wallet for me till date. JessieXapo is the Xapo representative who will activate your account.

If you want to continue using Xapo, you can submit your ID proof and get your account activated. It's only for our security and Xapo has been the best wallet for me till date. JessieXapo is the Xapo representative who will activate your account.

In case of this Post i have to advice every User not to provide your Personal Details to anybody except the Xapo Support like declared on the site xapo.com.
Be aware. Your Personal Data or Personal Data could get stolen if you provide id. Untill there is no "proof" that a Xapo Support Agent, or the Thread OP says "JessieXapo" is for doing this. All this is highly risked and this users could loose all of there Balance! In this case i had to given u bad trust until u can provide a legit trust/proof of JessieXapo dealing for this.

Xapo is not a scam wallet but they need ID proof to verify the user's details so that they aren't getting involved with illegal trades or fraudsters. It's different for blockchain while even coinbase has a verification process. JessieXapo seems legit and the same support agent replies to our Xapo support tickets as well.

lol . maybe it is just your wallet i didn't encountered any problems with xapo and also the other people here . i guess that's only your wallet that having a problem you should check before making an accusation .
