Xapo is not a scam wallet but they need ID proof to verify the user's details so that they aren't getting involved with illegal trades or fraudsters. It's different for blockchain while even coinbase has a verification process. JessieXapo seems legit and the same support agent replies to our Xapo support tickets as well.

Yes, was surprise when they lock my account until I verify my post address. I was mad, because when I register on xapo, I dont sing up for this verification.
Everything would be fine, if you create a account and must verify before start using a service. But not after.

Support just reply, that you have to verify if want keep using a service. But if not, please give me other bitcoin address and your funds will be send.

I dont like my wallet to be deactivated so need to be careful if it's will happen,my suggestion for you sir don't put all your bitcoin in one wallet, there is some online wallet deactivated by moderator
Without even warning so be prepared if it will happen . I do not trust any kind of online wallet coz there is a posibility that it will take your worked bitcoin so use desktop wallet to be sure.

Even a desktop wallet can give issues if your hard drive fails and same goes with paper wallets. Each wallet has its negatives and hence I use xapo and multibit as well as unocoin to have more than one wallet holding my coins. Else, if you lose your password, you can't access any wallet in that case.

All online wallets are risky whether it's Xapo, Coinbase or even PayPal. They just chose to close your account without any reason and you need to keep submitting documents to get your own hard-earned money back. That's the reason, I don't keep more than $50 in any wallet/payment processor. Blockchain is the best as you own the wallet and it's keys.

I did not tell anyone to give their ID proof to Jessie on this forum but they should only give her the email ID if anyone has sent a support ticket to Xapo. Users like u should get banned. I dont believe in that what your saying. The Scam already happend dude but you did not recognize it or maybe your brain works on forks for 25%. They simply do buisness  like every company else. And if you dont unterstand how there Buisness works. This is it. They just hold your account for now reason. Ive already provides these data and my balance is still on hold.
So dont introduce yourself for registratin without any verification level. This isnt really a proof of sign that every user gives the right information - How long are u using Xapo then?

I have been using Xapo for sometime now but was not an active user. I recently thought to get involved in the bitcoin arena and use bitcoins to make purchases..... Believe me guys, I'm quitting the Bitcoin because of Xapo! They have cheated me out of £250. I purchased some bitcoins and was instructed to wire fund to their account. I sent it and they have sent me an email saying purchase cancelled. I have now been inquiring for over 10 days and have sent more than 15emails but nobody is getting back to me. Believe me guys.... STAY AWAY FROM XAPO! They're just another bitcoin scamming site. Send money to them at your own risk. I have contacted their investors as well..... but Xapo are not bothered they have my money:(

Me too. but I am just using the simple wallet to receive and send payments. I have not get any problem but after reading this post. I prefer to go to xapo and redeem all my balance from there. taking care is better then loosing money. I've 0.5btc in xapo and they are too important for me. I've earned them in 6 month with my hard works. and don't want to loose them..

I have found it really depends where you live how much problems you have.I am from the UK that is quite bitcoin friendly so I have no problems.Some guys from places not so bitcoin friendly can have a lot of problems

you completely misjudged, OP is trying to aware us from using xapo like online wallets which can simply block you. There is no any link between legality or federal regulation affecting this types of banneds in most of the cases. Using hardware wallet or storing bitcoin in paper wallet generated offline till you use them, may be good option rather than storing huge amount in this online wallets.
