for some reason ever since i upgraded my motherboard to the MSI 890FXA GD70 motherboard and did a fresh install of windows i cant get cgminer or any miner for that matter to mine via scrypt. if i run cgminer in cmd it will start but it mines in phatpk if i use my bat files that i used before on my old motherboard it starts cgminer but says my cards are disabled. reaper just errors out saying to raise the sharethreads or lower the lookup_gap which iv tried and just does the same thing. im seriously getting frustrated with this and hope someone can help me out.

note. only thing changed in setup was motherboard/cpu/ram nothing else

the old mobo/cpu/ram was a gigabyte board with ddr2 ram n an intel pent D proc
new mobo/cpu/ram combo is a msi 890fxa gd70 board with a semp 145 proc n ddr3 ram

iv used 3 different versions of cgminer including 2.10.5 2.11.0 and 2.11.2 reaper version tried v13b4

cards i have are 2x5970's (non crossfire)

the error i get

Code:

 [2013-03-14 01:46:47] Thread 1 being disabled

you sure you dont have a cgminer.conf file in the folder that its trying to read from?  (Getting conflicting settings from what your trying to do basically)

Driver likely broken. Don't use anything after 12.8.

I use cgminer 2.11.3 (i think) and 13.1 AMD/ATI drivers with windows 7/64 and am able to successfuly mine LTC with a couple of 5770 cards. I also managed to get it working with linux/64 and 6990 card again with 13.1 AMD drivers, 13.3 did not work at all.
However linux/6990 setup was not optimal as the cgminer complains:
- that thread concurency is to high for card's memory and won't start
- or is too low and therefore you get 30% "hardware error" shares which are not accepted.
I wish you look into this, as using reaper is no fun believe me....

you need 2gb ram, i mean ram on the motherboard.

1gb ram is not enough for the litecoin mining.
