I think OP has made a mistake in his title, gambling and betting are the same thing, so it would be odd for OP to ask that. I think he means to say Gambling vs Sports Betting, as Sports Betting doesn't have a house edge.

In that case, yes, I used to place bets at dice and not win often, but now I bet on sports and I win much more frequently. I bet small amounts for fun, but I can still look at my winning history and it's better than the history I had at dice. So yes, sports betting is better if done right.

ya like betting on soccer, it really is safer than gambling. You can bet when the match has started and is really easy to guess.
but if you bet before the game starts, it pure depends on luck.

whereas gambling requires a good strategy, as in the game of poker, dice etc

i understand what your means betting on sportbooks are more better than gambling other games because on sportbooks the results depend on the results from the particular matches and would be different if i playing other games such as blackjack or dice because against house you will never win often against them and for me since i was do sport betting my gambling results are more better but i had still playing with other gambling games although is not so often

Gambling vs betting i dont see the difference only that betting is a part of gambling because when you bet something for like cash or money of bitcoins it exist all out of money
And when you put money into something it is a gamble because you will not know what it will do to your money will it be profitable of just a big fool.

Betting like sportsbetting is way safer and more based in team's performance rather than luck.
Gambling is a pure based on luck and there's no such thing as skills.

That's the big different of the two.

In betting if you have fix info then you will win but in gambling its a pure gamble and 50% win-loss chance to each.

Gambling, is lucky and only lucky , sportbetting have different factor for lose/win.

With gambling it generally implies that there  is a house edge or a casino you are up against.

Where as betting seems to imply a bet on an occurrence between friends or between punters at a sporting event.

I've thinking this is a stupid question ever i hear in my life but i try to answer it maybe what he mean is when you play some games like blackjack with your friend but didn't use money just only for fun.

I think both gambling and betting is same, because it's also risk your money for getting a profit/win. But in betting, there are many factors that we need to calculate, like an information. in the other hand gambling is like only luck.

To earn from betting you need skills and a lot of information. In my opinion, the more time you spent to get informations, the more profit you can achieve.

I understand very well his question. Gambling, besides poker, it is pure luck. Nothing depends on you, everything from casinos.

To earn from betting you need skills and a lot of information. In my opinion, the more time you spent to get informations, the more profit you can achieve.

It is really true that  gambling needs luck and not more because in that strategy dont work, but in betting you can do analysis, strategy and get all information online through which if you do proper calculation then you can achieve a good income. and i am doing that only and i have recovered all my loss and now i am in profit.
