I hope you guys are right. It will be awesome if that happens, cause everything will be much more simple  and we wont have to be taxed extra. Can't wait!

Besides recent Coinbase-PayPal partnership (and it is not the only exchange partnered with PP - we have BitPay and GoCoin too) we had news about new bitcoin related patents which PayPal owns.
Albeit it is not fully clear yet but we might see PayPal integration with bitcoin in the near future. It will be most likely in the form of multiple currency hardware wallet patented by PayPal and being developed.

This device will be answer for increased demand of universal tool for customers as PayPal noticed that people are purchasing items and services over the the Internet more and more.
And this device will be a killer gadget for mobile payment service providers such as PayPal and bitcoin integration should make it even more universal. We need to wait.

May I know the reason why does Paypal do not accept bitcoin as payment and/or deposit?! I know that Bitcoin is known widely on the internet so Paypal should accept it as a mode of payment since their forte is through the internet. I hope that someday, PayPal will acknowledge Bitcoin and put it as one of the mode of payment in their site. It will be very convenient for us.
I think this news was about a month ago or a few weeks back, not too sure.
Paypal has only announced its interest in adopting bitcoin to its payment service, but there's no concrete plan yet.

One probably reason why paypal has done this is to be one of the early adopters of bitcoin and be able to set the standards for fees, which they kind of had done with cash. I'm just afraid that their fees would go too much.

News were about the availability of cashout to Paypal account, if you sell BTC, only for US people, so it's only a little step.
The main goal would be the acceptance of Paypal when you buy BTC, but the interest of Bitcoin and Paypal is not the same in these kind of transactions, so we'll see it if it will be worked out or not at all...

When you link a card to paypal it asks you to put a code that they sent to your bank or you receive on your e-banking account so it verifies that you own that card but how will they act when you want to link or to send money from your bitcoin wallet to paypal, I think they don't want to support money laundry or hackers because they don't know if your coins are legal or not.

Now is the time of bitcoinand any payment processor which will not accept bitcoin will die, so paypal is a little clever and for their survival they adopted bitcoin and will continue with that, but i wish they do not bother their users.

i'm sure paypal still don't accept bitcoin because it's not regulated yet on their country (America) if it's already officially regulated then they'll sure accept it,they won't risking their company for only 1 currency which could potentially drive them to abuse the current rules

I have no doubt that PayPal owners are intelligent people, so I think it is just a matter of time to see bitcoin as an additional currency to carry out transactions through Paypal, and this action will be widely  beneficial for both and it will boost a greater acceptation of the BTC as a payment method or exchange medium.

Not many businesses accept bitcoin yet but there are a few that do. It will just take time for them to do so and it will be based on demand by customers like us.

PayPal won't accept bitcoin, because most of them consider both as different payment gateway. Possibly both will compete with each other, further soon scenario might change if more start using bitcoin as a currency.

well I think that if paypal starts taking bitcoin it would definitely
be a pump in price. But I will believe it when I see it. Paypal would
be foolish to support bitcoin as it goes against everything they do like
charge crazy fees and control everyone's money.

I hope they do as it would probably make paying for items on ebay through
paypal possible also but I would be shocked if it happened.

because technically when you use bitcoin you should never have any need for horrible services like PayPal. in other words bitcoin will remove PayPal and any similar service from the internet in the future, so they have no intention to show any support for bitcoin for the time being.

If you have bitcoin debit card you can easily buy stuffs adding that card to your paypal account. I have done several purchases like that and i think recently paypal have enabled bitcoin as deposit method for US citizens (i am not quite clear on this). Sooner or later it is quite sure paypal will be accepting bitcoin worldwide.

you caused me great happiness with your news sir :hat down:

Then its a good news you shared pal. If bitcoin would be accepted as a payment method on paypal then it would be a great feature and many of us would be happy.
Since paypal is used longer than bitcoin and when the time comes when btc is introduced maybe it would be a good advertisement to btc to became more popular.

the last news that i heard from paypal is they will integrate bitcoin with their payment gateway, but i am not really sure that i understand what is the meaning. maybe you can visit paypal homepage.

i think if paypal integrate with bitcoin, then it will be good news, we can maybe trace the transaction or we can know who is the name which buy our bitcoin or something like that.

That really happen? If thats the case then it would be impossible for bitcoin  to be used  as payment method as others said here on this thread. What other message you got from paypal dude? Why they know your transaction regarding your buying/selling bitcoin in that transaction? how do they know it?
