Burst was my favorite altcoin in 2017 along with Digibyte. What happened and it fell so much though. It used to be at top-100 coin. Is competition so tough lately?

Don't lose faith in BURST. There isn't many coins as unique as BURST, the development team is really strong, and they have a great ambition. All that is missing now is a bit of time, and a good marketing push.

Treat the really low price as a BIG discount Smiley I think it will take a good few years for BURST to mature, but it will be worth it.

I was a massive fan of Burst back in 2016 but there has been so much drama with this project since then. Burst had massive potential to be a top 50 coin already but with all the drama it is now out of the top 100. I sold most of my stack a while ago and was thinking about getting back in but I just don't know if I should as there are other projects that look to have more potential. By the way I was mining Burst for over 1 year back in the day and was a huge supporter on here and on Twitter.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

There is no time for BURST, after the price continues to decline in the exchange of bittrex is not good news, do your choice now and leave immediately if you do not want to feel pain again. That's just my advice.

Can anyone out there please help....

I am a windows guy, with minimal linux experience (although i can compiled a few wallets and miners - usually from instructions)

I have a pc permanetly mining on ubuntu, and would love to install burst onto the same pc, but for the life in me i have no idea where to start.
I've downloaded Burst 2.4.1, managed to install JAVA (although not one of the instructions given actaully worked), manged to find mariabd, and a setup file, but surprise surprise nothing works.

I mean seriously, wtf does
==============================================
[Download and install MariaDB](https://mariadb.com/downloads/mariadb-tx]

The MariaDb installation will ask to setup a password for the root user.
Add this password to the `brs.properties` file you will create when installing BRS:
===================================================
mean?

I managed to find what i think was the right file (just), downloaded it, it was mariadb-10.4.6-ubuntu-xenial-amd64-debs.tar....so how do i install it...(hmm the words above simply say INSTALL
So i found this - mariadb_repo_setup (yeah, managed to run it - so what) - it never asked for a password, so how can i put a password in brs.properties

Anyway
So, this is my install

Distributor ID:   Ubuntu
Description:   Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS
Release:   16.04
Codename:   xenial

and java version
openjdk version "1.8.0_03-Ubuntu"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_03-Ubuntu-8u77-b03-3ubuntu3-b03)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.03-b03, mixed mode)

I did a standard install from usb to hdd, and have 1 user account, password prortected, and download all files into a folder called "Downloads"
So if anyone has a spare moment or two, could someone please post in here, or pm me with a consice idioys guide to download BURST full local wallet and to get in running....

Stupid thing is, i can get the plotter and miner working....why the FCUK is BURST so hard on linux....grrrr

Head in hands, praying to the linux gods on high

This tutorial should make things much easier on you.

Debian should be just like ubuntu. https://burstwiki.org/en/brs-linux-installation/

For support, I suggest these places -

Discord - https://discord.io/burstofficial
Reddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/BURST

It is good to see that this coin is still alive and trying to survive in this competitive crypto market. By looking at cmc charts, it is slowly gaining its momentum. It means, this coin is still far from its dying stage where most of its contemporary altcoins created were already long gone. Good luck!

I didn't know they planned to do that. DAG is still hot by the way. Another question though, is Adam Guerbuez still a part of Burst? It's a big disappointment if he still holding on to his Burst coins.

That happens to my wallet only after a longer disconnect of the Internet connection. In this case I have to pop up 10 blocks too but after that the the wallet syncs normally again.
Can you check this next time on your router?

i m on a long range wifi, and not 100% stable, time to time there are some packet lost

and notice today it was stuck again, but this time i notice they all stuck on different time

only solution is to restart the wallet

i thinks it s a bug, why the hell it don't reconnect?

and i don't understand why it happens now, it was going fine  for 1 year
