Do your own research before you get carried away with "potential" profits from BURST

The new "fork" seems completely and still favours large scale miner / investors from what i can see....

If i have 100TB, AND pledge 500 Burst per TB as suggested, which means i have to spend around 10 x $190 (newegg 10TB ext HDD) = $1900 and 500 Burst x 100TB = 50,000 BURST in pledges (so another $290),
so thats $2190 and in return i will get just over 57 BURST or $0.33 per DAY

Now my maths could be way off, like i say do your own research...perhaps the calculator is wrong (don't be fooled by the commitment slider, when your enter your TB above, even thou commitment says ZERO, it is apply a considerable figure....move it up and back down to ZERO, you will see)

Unfortunately, i cannot see how BURST is ever going to be worth while mining again...IT WAS VERY PROFITABLE 3-4 years ago....but now, unless you have a spare 1PB system, with free power, i can't get the numbers to add up...
Also, in its heyday it was on many exchanges, over 15 i believe, now i think it is down to just 2.....

If anyone really wants to mine a POC coin, may i suggest they simply clone the original BURST, and use it to create a NEW COIN, with no pools for as long as possible. That way with the exeptionally low starting difficulty, PERHAPS small miners will stand a slight change of getting some coin.

In its current format, and proposed fork, i see zero point in any small miner trying any current POC coin

oh, one last thing, don't be fooled by the "energy efficient mining".
The plotting is incredibly intensive, and takes hours to days to weeks, depending on plot size and hardware (esp with SMR drives where 8TB can take 3 weeks) So that is very power intensive, and YES the plots only get scanned once every 4minutes or so...BUT i fould if the disks are continuosly powring down, and then having to power up every 3-4 mins, especially when you have say 10 internal drive, it puts huge stress on the disks motor (so they last no time at all) and quite often unless you stagger the start-up spins, you screw you power supply.... so you end up for relabilitys sake turning off the sleep and power saving modes, so they you have 10 x 10TB drives spinning 24/7, great for releabilty, but check your power consumption.....

On that note, IF the figures work for you, give it a go, i certainly found it fun 4 years ago.....but then again BTC mining was also fun 10years ago....

Of course we all hope so. However, water does not flow under the lying stone. The project is run by amateurs-enthusiasts and they don't have enough people for everything. Now they have very big problems with advertising and promotion of Burst. Therefore, the developers are happy for any help, any retweet, meme, etc. or spreading information about Burst anywhere. In general, they will be glad to receive any help.

Really glad to see an old project still alive in the market. However, I think they need to get another exchange other than bittrex or stex. Bittrex has compulsory KYC so there are traders that don't want to use this exchange. But good to see that they keep up with this project and for the last 3 months, it is improving its price in the market. If the team can afford, they can run bounty programs in social media channels. These may help in reaching out some new users or traders.

And what kind of development can we talk about if a group of amateurs without funding and investor investments in their free time from other work is engaged in Burst.

What's the difference with the current set of developers that Burst has now? I think the most professional group of developers that Burst had was the group of rico666. He coordinated everything from technical development, community development and marketing development.

I have a counter question, but where did this rico666 go? Why did he abandon Burst? As I understand it, no one kicked him out of the project and took him away by force.
After reading the Burst discord, where the current development team quickly and intelligibly explained that they are enthusiasts and are working on Burst to the best of their strength and capabilities. There are few of them, they do not have funding from outside. Therefore, to promote Burst by buying bots for advertising in social networks, messengers, etc. they have no funds. They also clearly said that memes and tweets about Burst from Elon Musk, or Kim Kardashian are also not worth waiting for, because it costs a lot of money.
Therefore, they welcome any help from the community! Tweets, memes, retweets, likes, any kind of advertising or promotion Burst in social networks, forums, messengers, on airplanes, airships, starships, Biden's underpants, etc.

Nowadays all those "Wann be CryptoPredictorTraderMaskerYushuSushi" teach people for money to lose money and do not say a word about sources they need to check before investing everythere there those youtuber say...

Yes BURST could be 1 USD. But Burst is only used for speculation. So now we have the same bubble like 2018.
Actually with POC+ and alle the other good things in cryptospace it's the right time for marketing and spreading the BURST.
My Slogan for our message is: "BURST FIRST !!!"
BURST is the only real free POC-Coin and it has gone through so much attacks that with POC+ it can resist alle attacks in the future (by the way even with old protocol BURST has resisted all attacks without losing any coin , so best  proofed coin and its getting better)

The hardfork is a big news for community and they have convincing reasons to believe in the better technology from BURST team. It is a bone for their belief and was reflected on the price last week. BURST increased three times from bottom after many months of hibernation.
