Hello Tajcoin people. I started with this coin a couple of days ago and ive already gotten 2 orphan blocks.   the wallet is on all the time and in 36 hrs ive gotten only 2 stakes that were rejected.  Wallet is showing 2 connections and 0 net weight and 0 seconds to stake.   Am i missing something?  Is Taj staking for someone else?  Thx for any help. 

Hi PollacoMan sorry for the late response i am with fam on yearly vacation and for these 2 weeks trying to be offline as much as possible (like that ever worked for me ).

Proof of stake is essentially a competition like PoW so in order to find a stake block it relies on factors such as PoS difficulty, the number of TAJ you are staking , the quality of your connection to the network. Considering you only get 2 connections to the network you should check your firewall settings as you should get at least 10 connections.
Ophan blocks are quite normal every stake wallet has them and since you got only 2 orphans in 2 days is nothing to worry about it just means someone with aprox the same ammount of TAJ as you have is stkaing as well and he/she found the same block but only one gets accepted.

Blockchain is a little sluggish as TAJ is only 30 days old crypto and not many miners are mining the coin.

I didnt quite understand the part "is Taj staking for someone else".  Any online wallet with any ammount of TAJ connected to the network is staking.

Maybe check the OP for PoSWallet link and benefit from pool staking.

Well this is strange. Last 1 minute when the minute counter was still running on Cryptopia the round was already finished before timer actually ended, no votes where even possible anymore since the last winner coin was already selected before the time actually ran out. I was there voted, then got overvoted again and today while counter was at 2 minutes till round end there was no option to cast more DOT votes. So in other terms Cryptopia voting sucks.

Due to the votes mostly being used by bagholders to list coins with dead networks, inactive developers and various other issues Cryptopia will no longer be providing the voting platform. Inside the zip there are already 3 batch files for all 3 TAJ enabled mining pools (Zpool,Yiimp,Louhimo). Your AV may trigger a PUP (potencially unwanted app alert, this is normal as it is a cryptocurrency miner). You can always download the miner from @tpruvot official Git here https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases (only thing that was changed was the batch files to start ccminer with TAJ pool ready configurations)

Tested on OSX 10.8.5. Some free TAJ are waiting if your install and test the new QT for MAC. But you are required to post a screeenshot of your recieve tab along with your TAJ wallet address.

How to properly create a paper wallet / cold wallet / offline storage and what you will need to get started.

1. You will need iso of your favorite linux distro (example Ubuntu https://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop or any other OS that supports live usb boot that incluides a webbrowser)
2. An empty 4GB or more USB key
3. LiveUSB creator tool (example https://www.pendrivelinux.com/liveusb-install-live-usb-creator/ or http://www.linuxliveusb.com/ or.....)
4. A computer that is not connected to the internet (in my case i use an old Acer laptop that doesnt even have a wifi card)
5. A USB printer (i dont recommend any cloud enabled printer, the most appropriate is a simple oldschool  USB B&W/Clour laser)
6. Some quality printing paper


Action time:

1. Download linux distro
2. Use the usb creator tool to prep your live usb key
3. Extract/unzip files from PaperWalletGEnerator.zip to a preffered folder on the freshly created live usb thumbdrive (anywhere on the usb as long as you find the folder later when liveOS loads)
3. Insert live usb key,connect printer and boot computer from usb drive (you may need to setup boot from usb in bios if no physical harddrive is present it shoudl boot automaticlly)
4. Once live OS loads check if your printer has been detected and set print layout to landscape
5. Use file explorer/manager to navigate to the PaperWalletGenerator folder and look for index.html and
6. Generate and print as many wallets as you need
7. PaperWalletGenerator supports a variety of coins so take advantega of that and print all the wallets for all the coins you need

PS: You can use the wallet generator on an online/internet connected machine and use any type of printer (i dont recommend inkjet printers and plain office paper) but then its not called offline/cold storage anymore as that is a big possibility that your private keys will be cached in browser memory and printer memory.
