Please understand that most LEOcoin holders are not originally from the crypto-world. This said, they now - for the most of it - love digital currencies. As we know for a good reason.
One of the goals of the LEOcoin Foundation is to introduce new audiences to digital currency, so we are happy if some of the community get active on typical cryptocurrency related forums like this one. Yet, the main part of the LEOcoin holders will not, but as long as they actively support LEOcoin that should be okay with us.

True, LEOcoin is no longer using PoW for new coin creation. But it could be mined by the public from the start in the summer of 2014 and many did, both crypto-guys as LEO members. After the switch to a sole PoS mechanism this summer, those who previously did mine LEOcoin started to support the mining of other alt-coins, which is a great thing to move crypto to the next level. Even nicer is that the mining reward often is used to purchase more LEOcoin on one of the exchanges.
This is a long lasting game that is centered around the amount of available coins. As LEOcoin, like many other crptocurrencies, has a pre-mine - of only 5% - there seems to be a dispute about the premine. According to LEO - who created LEOcoin as a digital currency for entrepreneurs - the pre-mine is almost completely distributed. This has been done by using pre-mine to reward LEO members for their work and given away as a bonus to merchants that pre-registered as LEOcoin merchant accepting LEOcoin. Also, the LEOcoin Foundation has received LEOcoin to enable us to do fulfill our mission of getting mass-adoption of LEOcoin and make digital currency an important part of the future online payment economy.
As CMC is a free enterprise, the owners can support the coins they want. Other coin market capitalization websites, e.g. like worldcoinindex.com, have chosen to list LEOcoin and show the correct market capital from way over 40 million Euro. If we continue to develop as is foreseen, there will come a time that people start to wonder, why a solid top 15 coin is left out at CMC. After all, is it not precisely the function of a market capital list to show the reality of the coins on the market?
