The Future of the world is MULTIPLE crypto currencies not just BTC

Whoever comes up with a Alt coin linked to some killer App, will be the king of the Crypto hill. I have no doubt that one of the Alt coins will rise to the top soon. Bitcoin only have

the edge over other Alt coins because it has the wide acceptance from merchants. Once one of the Alt coins can find something that stimulates it's use, it will surely be a

success. One of these uses will be connected to social media or gaming or gambling. 

Casinos (real life ones) have the right idea for this. They offer tokens that can only be used on their machines within that casino they distribute them from in exchange for your money whether it be from your bank account, credit card or debit/cheque.

do you really believe that any of the current alts are gonna be here in ten years? bitcoin itself might not be. the only thing it has is first mover advantage and that may well be enough.

all the other ones are pretty much nowhere and only live on exchanges.

Actually most altcoins live today on exchanges only as well, even the ones in top ten in coin market cap. This also means coin market cap is not good representation how much a coin is used at all, and I suspect these altcoins are used much less than their respective market cap suggest, eg mostly held as speculative investment only and not used when buying some product/service. At least thats my experience, I spending Bitcoins only but I had few altcoins for playing the speculation market - but only to increase my Bitcoin holdings.

There is really no reason to believe any of the current altcoins going anywhere, I mean moving out of the speculative coin and be actually as usefull coin as Bitcoin.

I dont think bitcoin will kill off all other ALT coins. Imagine 5 or 10 years from now end users are selling their products online and accept multiple forms of payment BTC, ETH, LTE, etc. Why not??? Just look at this chart here.

This is the total percentage of the market that Bitcoin dominates. And since the beginning you can see that the peaks are becoming less and less. So this means ALTs are taking up a bigger percentage of the total Crypto market cap.

I think BITCOIN will be a STRONG crypto. It will be the mother of all cryptos, people will buy it to branch into other ALTs if need be.

You nailed it!  I believe even government will release their own cryptocurrency!  There are lots of technology that can't be implemented to  Bitcoin without hardforking it and the developer is really avoiding this kind of stuff.  So pretty much  the technology that can't be adopted / integrated to bitcoin will then be the reason why  alternate currency will be used i nstead of Bitcoin.  So yeah it is multiple crypto currency to be used in the future  not just BTC.

I think the governments of this world will ban Bitcoins and Altcoins one day and they will implement a new Cryptocurrency made by them, which will be as secure as BTC (just for us as citizens, but they will see ALL our actions). Bitcoin is just a test, imo.

No, I don't think so. There are already some cases where other cryptocurrencies are accepted as direct payments for products and services, however this use is of minuscule scale compared to Bitcoin. There is also zero indication that acceptance of other cryptos is increasing in any way. And why should it? The other CC's are not offering any meaningful advantage over Bitcoin for that purpose.

Bitcoin had a first mover advantage and as a result enjoys the largest support as a currency. The resulting network effect is very strong and will not be broken easily. Other cryptocurrencies need to offer revolutionary advantages over Bitcoin to be able to compete. I don't see any altcoin that fulfills this criterion.

thats true, only people will be able to do something about it if they will not listen to governments new laws, i hope that bitcoin will become the only currency in the future

Yes there are almost hundreds of cypto currencies now and in the future the number will increase but the bitcoin will always be the best and mostly used cryptocurrency. It will be because it was the first unique thing developed!!

Plus Bitcoin has best development. So many new improvenment made for Bitcoin and many more planned in near future, other coins lacks both user base and good code development - both so important for successfull coin.

just being the first doesn't give bitcoin any kind of edge over any other cryptocurrency that exist or may exist in the future, there are in fact a lot of other factors that gives bitcoin that edge to be in front and be the number one.
for example one of the biggest ones is that bitcoin is being used as a currency so it is not just some digital numbers you give value to, but instead you can purchase goods with it.

I also believed that this will be the future. There will be multiple crypto currencies. If in fiat there is USD,EUR,GBP,JPY,CNH and other currencies, in the crypto currency, there will be its own version and I think time will come when countries will adopt what will be its national crypto currency. BTC will be like the USD.

But among all cryptocurrencies I think bitcoin is the only one mostly accepted by mechants. The others are there only mostly for speculative value. That has been the dynamic of btc vs all the others and that's where it will stay because altcoins cannot shake its bad reputation of being run by greedy, thieving developers. Let's face it, it will take years until we see something that is as widely accepted as bitcoin.

different crypto currencies are competing each other. so I believe the strongest ones only will remain alive in the future. I use bitcoin only because it the most popular one and it has the highest market cap amung them

I agreed,  Because in my assesment all crypto in altcoins are depending to bitcoin,.without bitcoin crypto will not be created but since the main reason why altcoins appeared it shows that both of them are helping to one another. So it is very cleared that in the near future many cryptos in altcoins will become stronger like the origin of the digital currency.
