How long will bitcoin survive?

I have 100% trust that Bitcoin will stay for a very long time despite people doubting it. It has emerged as a perfect solution for the current economic crunch. Relying on fiat currency alone will not help so much but with bitcoin and its technology, I hope economies will stabilize.

I will be using bitcoin to 30-40 years in the future and I also believe bitcoin can last up to 40 years at least. the development of technology is always growing rapidly and currently all the technology has always been at the forefront. so bitcoin will be great in the future with the technology of the currency which is better than anything.

30-40 years is a really long time to make speculations about.

Many changes will need to be made to the bitcoin technology to help it survive for the next 10 years.

I think it is not about how long bitcoin can or will survive, but how much it can affect people's lives in its existence. Because even if it gets to survive for a long time and still few people are using it, then that cannot be considered a success. If it somehow makes it to the mainstream consciousness and people get to know how to take advantage of what it can offer, then that is going to make it worth all the efforts of the bitcoin developers.

due to the increasing demand from 2009 to 2016 i highly likely suspect that bitcoin will surely be at the top at 2020. but still since technology is improving and more and more coins are coming i can say that there might be some coins who can give tough competition to btc.

I dont think that the bitcoin will survive very long because as you can see allot of people sold their bnitcoins allready and i dont think that some other people loved to hold them if the price is only dropping?

It is not possible to bitcoin to be downfall or the price drope if there are exchange website will be "HACKED" i think or some investors are going to give up using bitcoins in the next 5-10 years and bitcoin will not be survive for that but we can't predict what really happens on that day.

The potential is great, if you ask me, we aren't seeing even 10% of bitcoin's potential. But it takes to develop bitcoin, so it can grow. Having said that there will be an end time for bitcoin, because mining and the miners eventually will not get paid substantially and so the eco-system will die.

Theres no need  for a catastrophic event just to kill bitcoin. one big EMP would do already  which could interfere the  internet and other electrical connections. You are right   bitcoin would stay long   for more years since  people are still using it and  people do join and  intend to  invest more on bitcoin.

We can't expect the price to go stable, there will always be ups and downs but the good thing is it won't die...
