There is an anticonstitutionalist organization that what to make Facebook pay for what the users post on it... They believe Facebook is responsible for terrorists attacks Huh

In my opinion it is insane. Beside the assault of the second amendment there is a strong community worldwide fighting to dismantle freedom of speech too...

Anyway good luck censoring steem, synero or what ever uncensorable networks... What I fear is that once they get Facebook responsible they could then censor and make everyone hosting a node on a p2p network responsible...

Facebook has their own ToS to be follow. We should stick with that because it's their own site and we're just participating with facebook site that Mark Zuckerberg owns. I don't see any reason how facebook is the one responsible in it since we'd give a freedom to use it freely as long as we don't violate any certain ToS.

Re: Do you think Facebook is responsible for the content posted by their users?

Yes, because they claim to own the content in their ToS. If you are the owner of data you should be responsible or it. There were a lot of legal issues with a guy from Austria trying to get a copy of his facebooks data.

Of course, facebook is completely responsible for the posts of its members..facebook is the biggest and the most powerful social media site for that reason its admins must check all the posts that have been being shared by its users to prevent possible future crimes.

Ahaha this is super smart argument and it could work in my opinion... I love it because it's their own strength used against them... Thank you for sharing it ;-)

Yeah i agree with you. facebook admin is supposed to monitor users. To avoid things that are not desirable as fraud or other things. Because we know facebook is a great company. And of course they are responsible for our members. I think what if facebook has moderated as this forum is always supervise members: D

Yes they are responsible with the post but as long as the post doesn't violate and certain tos then it's fine.

Facebook should be help responsible and should have to moderate certain things. As it is it already gets bad for so much porn and unwanted videos spread all over the place. Theres no need for that kind of things and worse on facebook. It wasnt designed to be a decentralised source of anything you want to say. Its simply a social site to connect with friends and family, No need to turn it into a cesspool .

I think so. Facebook should own up the responsibility as they are making profits from their platform.

Yes and no. Yes because Facebook has allowed too much freedom to users to post what they like and their security protocols such as post blockers has not set limits to post that may set damage. No, because Facebook cannot fully control all the messages posted on their site, they also cannot act or make an action if there are no reports. So in short Facebook should increase censorship and the users should also cooperate and report troublesome posts.

But if they own the content posted by terror organizations, they themselves become a terror support group? Seems logical  Huh

They could try. But what if the terrorists or people who support the terrorists set up a node and fund it themselves? How can they stop P2P networks when more and more people will get serious in using it? If they attempt to criminalize running a P2P node then they will push it to the underground. That is something they don't want to happen because it woild even more impossible for them to stop it.

Because they chose to own the content... In a p2p node you don't own the content and most of the time you can't even know what is transiting through your node... Completely different situation.

Facebook is providing an information technology platform to terrorists and are owner of the content published on it... They are active participants in the support of terrorist organizations ;-).

1billion seems low... The plaintiffs should raise to 100billions ;-).

they also give the users the duty to report whenever there is something that isn't right.
so users are also responsible to the contents they posts.  so its never facebook's fault if their platform is use by terrorist. the authorities should have the chance to monitor then becuase they are jsut on facebook. its a lot harder for them if they stay on dark web.

The duty... Lol you get robbed from your content and have the "duty" to police the site... What a value losing proposition... Synereo or a competitor has a great future;-)

You should be aware too that there's a report button on the option of the post where you can do it and be seen by Facebook, don't expect that Facebook can easily detect because this site is not perfect as what you think. They still need a notification of a reported post if it do really violated their ToS.
